Why do you think people on golf forums feel the need to give touring pros swing change advice?

My thoughts are;

A) They’re too stupid to know how dumb they sound

B) They drastically overvalue their opinion

C) Ignorance

D) Other

I’m interested in your thoughts as well.

D.

I'll go with D. for 2 main reasons 1. people will harp on the "bad" part of a swing, which yes Tour players can make some weird moves...but ignore the compensation moves to make it work under tournament pressure. Second, good players are notoriously terrible at explaining what is going on, they might describe feels or general ideas, but on face value it sometimes is bad advice.

Because PGA pros are better than all of us at golf, but they're not infallible.

Like Phil pulling driver on 18 at the U.S. Open...boneheaded move. We all knew it was a boneheaded move, but he did it anyway.

So that proves that sometimes, we know more than the pros.

So we keep giving them advice and criticizing them because sometimes we just might be right.

So my advice to pros everywhere:

'Be the ball.'

Everything will be fine after that.

I remember giving a pro advice.........told him to put a tee behind his right ear, tie his shoe laces in a double knot, place all his change in his left pocket and stop trying to hit poop shooter up anyone's kister. It all was good till the 18th when he tried to carry the lake on his second shot and just about ran out of balls............Oh well....

I actually believe its because of some of the equipment members here on WRX use. they get a hold of TOUR issue Scotty C's or set up their sets like TW, Rors, or DJ and in their fantasy world they see themselves hitting balls next to their idols so they feel that they are eminently qualified to comment on everything from their marital woes, to just how long a specific surgery would take to heal...I listened to a friend of mine on a podcast last night and he used the example of a single digit handicapper being the club champ at his home course, but take his show on the road to a new course each week and you will see that single digit blow up with each round

Some people hate their jobs, friends, family, & have no hobbies

Give them something to live for

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
