Does anyone think that Jordan Spieth likes his Under Armour clothes?

Recommended Posts

I'm curious to hear if others think Spieth likes his UA ensemble he wears head to toe....

If so, does he perceive it looks good? Or provides superior performance?

Have been trying to figure this one out for awhile, maybe I missed it (I haven't looked very long to be honest) but did he sign some multi-year deal early in his career that forces him to wear only UA?

I like Jordan and he seems like a very good steward of the game and its traditions, and he's appears to be humble and respectful (especially lately, I was happy to see him win again!)

But I cannot for the life of me figure out why he doesn't get out of this UA deal!

Personally I like UA golf stuff so I don't agree with your POV.  I doubt it'll ever be publicized but Jordan must be making an absolute fortune from his UA deal, he's the only face of a major apparel manufacturer.

He looks as good as 75% of the tour players out there. I personally think Nike makes the worst looking shirts.

I agree.  Every manufacturer has some nice looks they roll their players out in, and some....misses.   Not everything JS wears is fire, but he's usually looking good in some combo of greys and blues.  My only gripe with UA is at times they have a tendency put some stripes in odd places.  Overall I think it's as good of a brand as any at their price point.   I've always been satisfied with UA gear.

I don't like UA at all. Never have to be honest.

However, if they offered to pay me 8 potentially 9 figures over 10 years to wear their clothes you can bet your a** that I'd be decked out head to toe in UA gear.

Don't understand what is so hard to figure out that these guys play golf for their living.  I'd wear their clothes or anyone else's for a lot less than 8 or 9 figures.  4 figures a year will buy my back.  3 figures if they're really nice.

I like UA gear and many of there styles. I personally just think Jordan picks out some of there not so good lines. A lot of UA blacks, blues, and dark greens look very good. But Jordan never seems to wear or like these colors? I will agree there hats are horrible and I should know as I own one. Other than that I would like to know what brands the OP prefers?

I think his clothes look fine.  I can't think of anything off the top of my head that was just terrible.  I really like how UA golf polos and pullovers fit, and their shorts are good.  I like how some of their pants fit as well.  I don't like their hats and their shoes don't fit me right.

He looks fine? I don't know, I have a lot of Under Armour stuff and think it's good -- breathable, dries fast, shorts fit me really well. I especially like their long-sleeve stuff. Lots of players on tour wearing worse-looking attire than Spieth.

But also ... they'd make him whatever he wants, and make it to fit however he wants. It's not like he signed the deal and then went and bought off-the-rack stuff from them.

Really Jordan Spieth Looks bad? Have you seen how Ian Poulter dresses. Also why would Jordan want out of a contract that is worth hundreds of millions, makes him the face of a golf brand and provides him with his own model of shoe. The only other player who has their own golf shoe line is named Tiger Woods ....

real real bad at golf

I'm a big fan of UA shoes but not their clothing. Style is subjective, buy I think their styles are a bit dated. They're sort of caught in between being Athletic (ie: nike, adidas) versus Casual (ie: RL, Travis Matthew, etc) but not really hitting either extremely well.

As for Spieth, as mentioned he will wear whatever they make as long as he's under contract.

UA:  Jordan, we’re willing to make you an offer to wear our clothes, be the poster boy for our golf brand and we think you’d represent us really well.  25 million for the first 5 years, then possibly 40 million for your next contract, given your winning tract record.

JS: HEEEEY OOOOHHH!!  Where do I sign.  BTW, do you have any uglier clothes I can wear? For 25-40 million I’d wear the ugliest s**t you guys got.

UA: Done.  We just hired Nike’s lead designers for our golf brand so ugly is right up your alley.  You’re gonna look so nasty guys on Wrx will be like wth is wrong with JS?

JS:  Wrx??? wth is that??????????

PS....men worrying about what other men are wearing......sigh.....

I don't dress like Poulter but I think he looks pretty spiffy and pushes the boundaries.  Not everything he wears is good but every time golf is on TV, my wife asks, "Is Fancy Pants in this tournament? What is he wearing?"  He used to wear fancy pants but then he got boring.  Glad to see he's back to wearing interesting stuff.
