Long Slant Neck?

Anyone play a putter with a long slant neck? Unsure if I’ve seen one before but think it’d be a cool option for a more facebalanced anser style putter for someone that doesn’t like plumbers necks

Haven’t heard of Long Slant Face-Balanced putters... ie mainly Plumbers neck and/or SingleBend/DoubleBend

eg these examples... have the ping cu5 which is FB

My Byron Morgan 611 is a long slant neck, I believe. I love the putter, but putt better with a big ugly 2-ball so the BM will be headed off to sale.

I have an Odyssey white hot #6.  It's a long slant neck.  Head weighs 343g.  Great putter and one of the best priced ones on the market if budget is a concern.  Ideal for slow to medium speed greens, but not fast.  Face has a trampoline effect to it so it goes with ease.

That Piretti grabbed my attention until I saw the price.  My word.  About $1000 overpriced.

Cameron made several tei3 long slant putters over the years, but they can be hard to find and pricey right now. He made one pro plat model in the Sonoma 2 that you used to be able to find for a bargain but not anymore either. Personally I'm a fan of either the long neck or the mid slant neck, but put them together in a long slant and it just doesn't work for me, it's too much. For me that combination just feels like it doesn't want to flow closed and I block everything even more than normal. But that doesn't mean it won't work for you.

 

Ping Anser 5KS is another option that will cost less, I just don't like how the neck is closer to the center of the face than on most other putters.

That Lajosi is incredible, I love mid-slant necks like that. They are hard to find anymore. 

 

I like Piretti but don't understand their pricing.

Piretti welded long slant neck Cottonwood II ....wide tri-sole.. Mine came out of the Piretti Workshop...  It came with a premium leather magnetic closure head cover ......Naked sole , single sight dot....very clean tight weld is also a plus...as is the absence of the word ' tour ' on any of my custom putters.... including 

several " over priced " GSS models  in my collection...

 

Face balanced...I usually prefer putters with some toe hang , but this with a Gripmaster midsized paddle grip works great with just  a small  adjustment to my setup and a slightly more upright lie angle...

 

For me spending the extra coin is worth it , and necessary for a putter with all the features I am looking for...

But I don't get their pricing either which is probably why so many putters are sitting for sale on the site. They make a really nice putter but just window shopping for me.

Anyone else notice the common aspect of the custom longnecks pictured so far.?..single sight dot... and owned by guys that have been around...know what they like...

 

The Piretti Workshop putters with a rear flange line usually sit a while going unsold...their putters with just a single dot or naked sell quickly...

When I get mine it will be a flange line. I just can't aim a dot well.

Here’s a look at the toe hang and the ‘naked’ sole. I asked for ‘blank weights’ to achieve a clean appearance.

 

I was also asked for an address picture in a PM so I have included that image as well.  
 

The sight dot has been mentioned. I wanted minimal alignment assistance as I already liked how the ‘fangs’ framed the ball.  
 

An observation . . . the ‘fangs’ and sole weights are slightly different sizes.

 

Really pleased with the final package and the overall experience was enjoyable.
