Graphite shaft damage

Hi just picked up this shaft on ebay.

Hzrdus yellow 76g driver. There is a notch about 8 inches from tip. Presumably bag rub.

Do I need to be concerned about this?

That's more than a paint rub.  I would be concerned.  Never seen anything like it, least on any of my graphite wood or iron shafts.  I'd contact the shaft manufacture and ask for their thoughts.

Interesting, don't know that I've seen that.  It almost looks intentional and cleanly done.  Strange that there are no graphite strands peeling off from it.  Hope you got a good deal on it!  But I'm with @Pepperturbo - I think it's worth sending that pic in to customer service and see what they say.  My initial reaction is since there doesn't appear to be any damage to the graphite fibers it might still be okay.

Looks like a break just waiting to happen to me. Looks deeper than the paint.

Theres no way I’d put an expensive head on that shaft.

 It does seem deeper damage than just paint rub. I will return for a refund as this damage was not detailed on the eBay sales listing.

Whether or not it is just extreme bag rub, not disclosing that is definitely grounds for return. 👍

Looks like it might be through a few layers of paint, with the center being raw shaft? If that's the case, the paint is pretty thick.

But if the shaft itself was worn, You'd probably see some fibers, or it would be a lot rougher.

No mention of it in the Ebay listing? What a tool...
