Ping i525???

Ping does not seem to be done screwing the supply chain pooch, and after being burned by them on my last order, I will not be enthused to have it happen again soon.  And this is coming from a former Ping homer.

Talked to a Ping staffer about the i59s. He gave me a funny look and said anything Ping produces with the “59” moniker is cursed. He said they were not doing well in sales or in staffer bags.

According to Ping, these have almost the same moi as the g425 irons, so definitely more forgiving than i210.

not like the I-59's as the Polymer is on the perimeter of the head only as shown in the picture

These are almost as forgiving as the G425's according to the rep but way more forgiving than the I210's by a long shot

Was in Arizona this past week.  On Friday, the i525s were in fitting carts at Kierland range.

They look great.   I hit them and they felt sweet.  I haven’t hit the i500 so I can’t compare, but by my uneducated guess, they felt a bit longer than my apex’s.

Saw the i525 in person. Don’t like them. And ping charging $2000 a set is too high when Taylor made and titliest can all be has fir $1200 a set. 4 guys at my club had the ping i59 on preorder till they saw the price. All canceled their orders.

I seriously doubt that these will retail for $2000 for a 7 club set......

They told me over $2000 with upgraded shaft options. I59 are $1795 with stock shafts plus tax.

Initial price I heard is $190 a club, heard this from a rep at a local store in the Phx area.

A pretty big upgrade over the i500 in the "feels" department.....not a crossover feel either. I believe they max the toe weight & tip weight for the MOI claim......less weight in the body- sorta like the 425 driver weighting

That is exactly what I was told...March time-frame on delivery.

Assuming $190 a club is correct, I think they are priced right. Pretty much the same as T100/T200/Apex/790’s. 
 

Much better than the i59’s that’s for sure.

I was told i525 will retail at 1399 for 7pc

Ping Japan has the i525 listed full info.  Release date 2/18/22 Japan. FYI  MAP price Under $190.00 USD steel shaft.  Take that to the bank.
