If by mixed set you mean G710 long irons and i525 from 5-U then yes I am!

I am doing this. 4 through 7. I currently have this blend with my i500 and i59 and once I got the lofts tweaked (i500 slightly weaker and i59 slightly stronger) this is a great mixed set.

Just talked to my guy, he said he won't have the fitting heads until end of March, ship date in May/June...

 

Could be another season of the i500s, just need to regrip them, just hate burning through $100+ worth of my Z Cords I have sitting around...

I was reading a post about Cameron Champ using an i525 3 and 4 iron at Farmers. He says in the post that the i525 feel softer and are quieter. Should be interesting. I called Ping in Canada and they won't even acknowledge they exist.

The almost universally accepted way of pricing clubs by most these days is per stick stock shaft pre tax.  As your tax is different than mine.

 

So your information was off according to that.

Shame that most of these threads these days are a few guys fighting over stupid s*** and we who come to the thread trying to learn abut the product and what people think about have to read through this crap.

 

To the topic, Cameron Champ has a few i525 long irons in play this week and Ping tour rep said: "The look was also cleaner with a little bit less offset (comparing i500), and the sound was a lot more muted and less loud. The prototype started to sound more like his iBlades for him.”

 

So to me that sounds really good improvement to say the sound went from horrible to great. i525 is in my radar now too!

12 pages (6 pages of people fighting with each other) for a club that looks extremely promising.  I am sure they will sell every set they can get … the question is how many will they be able to get.  I am going to wait another month to see if these will be able to be ordered and delivered.  I am very cautiously optimistic.

I will say I reached out to my club (not my club guy, lol) and they said they were told the fitting heads would ship in the next couple of weeks and then pre-orders can start happening, and he said pre-orders usually are a month out from ship date, so that would fall back in line with the March ship date.

 

Or as I like to say,  no one has any damned idea when they'll be available.

Fitting heads are out already[in places]...2/18 is pre available then March ship...and it will depend on what combo of shaft/grip that makes a June delivery very possible
