Ping i525???

Too bad Robert Stack is longer with us. Perfect episode for Unsolved Mysteries. Was a big fan of the i500's look and had little concerns with what many shared as dislikes. They were incredibly long. Opted for the i210s to stay closer to my carry that the time but eager to put alumicore to the test against a i525 or even a new i230. Hopefully sometime in 2022.

So your logic would be: iE1 -> i200 -> i210 -> i525

 

i525 will replace the i500.

I can’t get excited about new Ping irons anymore because I know they will take 8 months to get.  I was looking forward to the new i210 and i525 but there is probably no chance they will have enough stock when they release (if they ever do release).

i59 got in people's bag just fine time-frame wise - I'd imagine the same i525 pre-order will be the same

The i500’s were very thin too. Thinner than the P790 and 0311P, at least. 
 

Honestly, these look identical to the i500 with the exception of the textured area. The big changes should be under the hood.

Thats my hope as well.  I've been insanely impressed with my i500s over the years, but I'll happily order a set of these for the 2025 golf season.

These look neat, PING always do a great design update, they always seem to make the new generation look new and fresh.

 

Not sure about that notch on the hosel, it's pretty deep. I can imagine a tough day on a hard-pan links would change the loft and lies!

I tried to read through, and maybe I missed it, but what is the difference between the i59 and the i525? Someone stated they are roughly the same size?

I don’t think Ping will release this to the public, with fitting carts and ordering, etc., until they have their supply chain issues under control.  I was told this months ago, and got flamed here, but so far it has proven true.  
 

When you get the ability to order the i525s, my guess is that you’ll be looking at pre-pandemic delivery windows for new Ping clubs.  Until then, you aren’t going to be able to get fitted or preorder, no matter what a Ping tour player has in his bag.

Here's everything you need to know about the new Ping I525; spoke with the rep today and he says they are almost as forgiving as the G425's.  They'll have a head size in between the G425 and I59's.

Unfortunately a pretty aggressive price hike may have something to do with that.  I am guessing that had to affect the demand.

Was it already confirmed that there is an EVA polymer inside the head or is that new info? I thought the i500s looked great when they came out but hated the sound/feel of them. If they've got that in a much better place it could be amazing.

Love my 0311 Gen3’s but it looks like Ping hit a home run with these. I’ve already got my order in, if they perform as good as they look they will be in my bag!
