There are about 50 bazillion threads here about Steelfibers.  Hate to be "that guy" but you may want to search for info.

Then don’t be that guy and help me answer my specific question about a specific shaft for a specific handicap range and not assume I just didn’t search the forums.

Nessim is right but yeah, I went from x100 to i95 steelfibers and am very pleased.  They come around quick.

I’m currently gaming 105-110gram Steel shafts just curious if you felt much of a difference going down to the 95, I play S flex tipped to S+ currently my current driver SS is about 110 and I’m a 14 HC. I posted about the Aldila 95NV but no one responded so figured I’d ask about the I95 compared to the 110

Steelfiber i95 stiff has a profile very close to DGS.  If the lighter weight works for you, and the DG-like profile appeals to you, it could be a good fit.

Thanks, I haven’t noticed a big drop off swinging the lighter weight especially if I tipped it to S+. I’m nearly 43 so I figure if I keep these clubs for 10 years 95 will probably be what I drop to eventually, I’m currently playing TT 110 S+ I haven’t played the DGS. I’m also considering the Aldila NV 95 since they’re a better price point, any idea how they compare to I95?

I don't have much knowledge of them, they're new enough that there hasn't been a lot of use.

That said, @sparky 14 put together a set with the NV85.  I'm tagging him in hopes he'll respond with comment.  I believe he's been using them since last summer...

I did the same, went from DG SL X-100 to i95, it took me about a week to get the swing in order with the lighter shafts but i can not be happier. No more hand or elbow pain, ball flight and distance is almost the same, great shafts, i can really swing easy or hard, low or high, whatever you want, they do.

I’m dropping between 10-15g depending on the shaft, but it sounds like it won’t take much to adjust to the new weight. Did you get shaft flex the same or go up in flex to accommodate

i95 S, they play a little stiff to flex. I reshafted the 6 iron first and took it to the range for a couple of buckets to try out, it took me about 10 balls to calls my clubmaker and tell him to do the whole set.

Driver SS ~ 105 mph.  Handicap 7.

Switched to graphite 10 years ago (I am now 50).  Had elbow tendonitis that required surgery.  I have played: Recoils, Accra, and Steelfibers.  There are lots of great options out there.  Steelfibers have a specific feel that not everyone likes.  They are a dull, muted feel vs. Recoils that have a very lively feel.  I like the feel of Steelfibers.  I also find the dispersion is tighter.  I recommend them highly, but I agree that trying one first in one club makes more sense, just to confirm before you pull the trigger.  They play alittle on the stiff side of the stiff profile.

I’m gonna be 43, can still swing the 110 no problem but might be an issue in 10 years, my SS is about 112 and a 14 HC so sounds like a an S flex 95 will suit me just fine. The Aerotech felt great when I swung them, but I’m leaning towards the Aldila NV just because of price point, I’m building a set of Maltby TE forged, from everything I’ve read it’s a legit forged players CB, and half the price of a Titleist Ping or Srixon

I went to i95s with i210 for a couple of months. Now, I settled for S400 due to weight but the i95s performed very well. I am going to selling the 5-PW shafts.
