You're right.

According Online Media Center; it's 259 yards, a long par 3.

It’s the equivalent of a 310 or so par 4 for the men…..which does happen.

Atthaya..the gal's a PLAYA.

She's gaming Muira TC - 201 irons.

Trivia.....is there a LPGA pro who does or has played Muira irons?

I can't think of one.

@KBong Good question! Didn’t know either. But Mel Reid also plays the TC 201.

MIURA CONGRATULATES MEL REID ON FIRST LPGA WIN

OCTOBER 7, 2020

SCOTTSDALE, AZ  – Miura Golf is pleased to congratulate Mel Reid on her victory at this past weekend’s Shop Rite Classic in Galloway, New Jersey.

In her comments after the event, Reid graciously acknowledged the Miura irons that helped lead her to victory.

Reid has carried Miura TC-201 irons in her bag for two seasons now and raved about both their softness off the face and legendary forgiveness.

Miura CEO Hoyt McGarity said: “We were thrilled to watch Mel Reid play Miura TC-201 irons to win her first LPGA Tour title. Miura congratulates Mel Reid and wishes her continued success.”

No, Lydia Ko didn't get into the last group!

But, she's cut the deficit with Patty Tavatanakit to 2; much better than the deficit of 8 going into the final round of ANA Inspiration.

She's a real chance to battle for the first two-time winner this season on Sunday.

In Gee fires 6 birdies in her last 7 holes...with 5 birdies in a row to finish her 3rd round...and we don't see one shot or putt.

It's very obvious there isn't anybody with resource or authority to make any situational changes on site.

Everything was remote and pre-programmed, there wasn't any life to this telecast.  Give me Golf Channel any time of the day!

I knew I shouldn't have stayed up for this! Now Su Oh is +1 for the day, -3 for the tournament, all the way down to 40+th... SYR it is...😂

I'm not saying I'm any smarter but I watched the telecast and followed the leaderboard until Yealimi Noh made a bogey on #9, dropping to even for the round.

I'm glad that I decided to go to bed at that point.

The voice mail box for IMG and the Golf Channel will be full by this morning with a lot of scathing messages from all The Flying Dumbo's.....there will be blood.

Another great finish in the making. Patty sure seems like she's programmed for wire to wire wins, although she did let a number of players back into this.

Caroline is going to fade. I've seen this one before.

Atthaya is the big unknown. Proven winner on the smaller stages, but can she keep it together?

Gaby, Lydia, and Hannah are all capable of firing in the mid-60's. They'll be in the clubhouse watching the drama unfold on the 18th.

I guess Ariya still has a chance, but it's slim. She'll need a 62 and a lot of help.

Ugh. The Rocket needs to get those big numbers off her scorecard.

At this rate, I shouldn't be watching, when I tuned off at past 1am, Jeen just made birdie but was 4 back at -12, still +1 for the day, leaking quite a bit with Patty and Lydia slugging it out... Eg Lydia was only 2 behind...

Now that it's almost 9am (and I only got 7 hrs sleep more or less, which is perfectly fine for my age 😁), I dunno whether to bother with coffee tonight or drink it all NOW!!! 😂

I think Thitikul will challenge tonight, she was 5 back at one point after bad hits/breaks early round 3. Something tells me she ain't gonna do that on the front 9 later. It'll be interesting to see the finished at 4am, but I might jinx it. I'll watch until 1am then decide whether I wanna wake up at 1130am or 8am by then lol

Looking at the leaderboard, with so many in the hunt, I'm also curious to see if Hannah Green makes a serious charge and goes flag hunting, just to see if she has the grit/gumption to "seek revenge" from the giveaway of last week... she may not win but I wanna see her extremely aggressive early on (nothing to lose in my view for her, she gave it up last week so she should grab it back this week would've been my thought process going into the final round)

I feel your pain, I took Yealimi at 90-1, thinking she might breakout this week, bad call, she's still fighting it, along with MInjee, who's also kinda lost in forest right now.  Still got a good chance Atthaya, I'm hoping she has a life changing day so that I have a great day lol

It's gonna be a shoot out, with whoever drops a really low one probably winning.  Patty will probably be a beast in the final round.  Like I said she's usually throws in 1 lackluster round over the course of 4 days and it was yesterday, look for something low today I think.  I was impressed with Atthaya, starting with 2 bogeys and battling back for a 4 under round and probably should have been a bit lower.  Win/lose she's probably gonna have the chance to fill up on her available sponsor's exemption on the LPGA should she wish.

I think Atthaya is a player in the vain of many other young studs and playa come to play.  She may not win but I think she'll show up.  I realize now, I have a golf type, players who are 5'5, can crush off the tee and who think not firing at the pin is like taking a bogey lol  She could be given 1"C" with Brooke 1"A" and Sei Young Kim 1"B" as my favorite LPGA players lol  I think she gotta try get over to the LPGA as soon as she can, beating up on the Thai tour is not gonna do anything for her at this stage.

Agree, but can she?  a) Covid held her back - no Qschool... b) Is there min age requirement for LPGA? (not sure - but maybe she's past it now vs last yr)

She'll have 6 sponsor exemption available to her (well 5 looks like she got an exemption for this event), her management team will have to work it out but try and get 4-5 of them in a row to make the travel worth it, at this stage I think Covid will only hold you back if you're trying to play golf in Canada 🙂  Not sure about KPMG final field but if Atthaya uses IMG, they have juice to get her in that event if possible, they got Brooke the exemption as a non-member in 2015.  If she can get some sponsor exemption lined up after US Open for a stretch of 4-5 weeks of play and even if she has to try to Monday qualify for an event or two, I think it's  worth it, a couple Monday qualifier will add some character lol

Yeah, it's nuts ........ hope some folks get rebates on those hefty membership fees lol.  Yeah, looking at things it seems Atthaya was totally a victim of circumstance, she was 16 the last time Q-school happened and she probably thought there would be no issues waiting till she was 17 (she might have been able to got to Q-school at 16 for Symetra membership at 17 but like discussed maybe the money wasn't worth it) and the Covid struck hard and she had no options other than the Thai tour.  Even better for her, if she plays well in the final round, the LPGA will probably be pretty receptive to giving a player who have in all likelihood easily earned her tour card if there had been a Q-school.  If she can drop at 64 tomorrow, than this whole discussion will probably be moot 🙂

Moot for us, yes (Eg Jeen T)... I hope the LPGA is/was more flexible on certain things though, but it is what it is... eg water under the bridge both on past LPGA rulings and Ontario lockdown incl golf LOL...

I still say nobody on the LPGA can come close to Ariya when it come to swing speed.

Before Bianca arrived on the scene, I would have agreed 100% with you. What I would give to see an Ariya v Bianca pairing with Ariya pulling driver and able to hit it solid.

Watching the 3rd round. Ugh. The 5 hour pace is brutal again. 'Just don't understand why the three players don't all walk up to their balls on take their preferred lies at the same time.

Don't recall seeing this many poorly played par 5s.

I can see why Patty let the field back into it. She left herself with some really tough shots near the greens.
