Mizuno JPX vs. MP

For those of you who play Mizuno irons and/or fittings for JPX, MP lines what are your thoughts on comparing both lines? I'm more interested in players clubs category so JPX 921 Tour vs. MP20. 

 

According to Mark Crossfield of the JPX vs. MP video it seems like there's actually not much difference in terms of numbers or forgiveness but MP20 is clearly a smaller head and a real blade. 

 

Regardless of looks, does MP line feel that much better than JPX? or is it more of a preference in looks and old vs. new product line preference?

Ive owned the JPX 919 tours and sold them off for the MP20's. Mind you, I made a combo set out of the MP20's with HMB, MMC, and MB. The JPX all performed well. A little longer blade length, but were a little clicky on some shots. The MP20's all have a much softer feel, I believe, due to the copper layer which the JPX don't have. Both sets get the job done. One is satin, one is chrome. That's pretty much the extent of it.

My heart says MP, my handicap says JPX.

 

If I were in the market for something of the Tour caliber, I'd go with MP personally.

Been playing Mizuno irons since I started playing competitively.  Played MPs throughout high school and college.  This past year I switched to the JPX 919 tours and they are amazing!  Miss hits go a lot farther then if I were to miss hit MPs.  Although I do agree, the JPX 919 tours are very different looking and it took me awhile to get use to the JPX.

Played JPX 919 tours last summer and never got used to the the feel of the head material.   Even when swinging really well and smoking the sweet spot they felt clicky/firm.   I went back to my MP15’s and immediately felt the difference.   I’m hoping to order a set of MP20 mmc’s in a month or so to relegate the MP15’s back to the back ups.   919’s are the prettiest irons I’ve ever owned by far.

I don't know if they do, and I'm too lazy to check specs, but the jpx tour lines appear to have a touch more offset. Again, they may not, but they look like they have like 1/2 mm more offset. The mp 20 is a touch smaller overall. The jpx tours have a slightly bigger sole. 

 

I went from mp63 to jpx900t a couple years ago. In 921t now. The difference between the mp and jpx was turf interaction. The jpx seemed to glide through the turf whereas the MPs dug a bit more.
