I’m a 0.8 at the moment. I was playing an Epic sub zero for the last couple years. 
 

I just switched to the PXG Proto turned down to 13.5* and ordered the same 5 wood that I’ll probably play at 16.5*. Diamana S+ 70 X shafts in both. The 5 will swap in/out with my driving iron depending on the course and my mood.

I stopped playing ‘woods’ and instead upgraded to newer equipment….

 

G410 plus 10.5 degree metal driver

G425 max 14.5 degree 3 metal

 

I hit them a lot further than those old wooden persimmon clubs…

6.5 GHIN and also playing the 0341X Proto.  Coming from a Titleist 909.  Once I got the hang of it, this club is noticeably longer off the tee for me and I like the ability to dial in a fade with the weight and lie angle setting options....

My most dreaded miss in golf, which I had with the Epic, is the hard hook with a 3 wood. It is especially punishing on my home course. 
 

So far I haven’t seen it with the Proto.

After stepping away from the game on and off the last 15 or so years, I decided to get back into it one fateful May day. Joined local club and haven't missed many days of playing/practicing in the last month. 

I am still rocking the old Callaway Steelhead III 3 wood. I reshafted one some time ago with a DG-S300 and I hit it with more consistency than anything I have tried thus far. 

Every now and then, if I come across SH III in primo condition, I pick it up and put it in the "extras" bag. I have 3's, 5's, and a 7 wood. 

 

Anyone else trapped back in time with older (+15yrs) fairway woods?

Don't know handicap but I can shoot even on the front then 10 over on the back!

 

2nd driver normally goes in over 3W which is a Tour Edge Exotics CBX 13.5° missile launcher.

Handicap about 2 depending on the course. Still going with TM M4 with Hzrdus Red handcrafted. Looking to switch soon, but haven't found an obvious replacement/don't seem to hit a lot of 3w's at my home course.

8-9 hcp. Playing a Cobra F6 with the Fujikura Pro shaft. It’s set at 14.5 deg and will not be leaving my bag anytime soon 😁. Works brilliantly both off the tee and deck for me.

Loving the TSi3 hybrid. Comparing it to my old 818H2 it's been a huge upgrade & I'm finding that I can launch it with a more consistent trajectory both as a club off the tee as well as off the deck.

Sitting at 1 and I am using the Titleist 915Fd. In 20+ years of playing, this is the only 3 wood that I have genuinely loved which is why it has been in the bag longer than anything else in there.

Had to check and I'm at an 11.9 my 4 wood is an oldie but a goodie Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816. It's been the most consistent I've ever owned and I should probably buy a minty one to keep in the closet for later
