Will Sam Burns win a major in the next three years?

Sam jumped to #5 in FedEx Cup this week.  Solid outing in Dallas/Fort Worth.

He is trending well., must admit, I look for how this player is performing in tournaments. Expecting he will win a few majors .

As a fellow Korean, I have to congratulate K.H. Lee for his win yesterday.  Sam did very well but K.H. came out of the gate on fire.  I have Sam as one of my favorites this week at the PGA to win it all.  Rahmbo is due for one anytime and I got money on him to win this week.

Nobody was beating KH Lee last weekend. He was on fire!

if he putts like he did on Saturday and Sunday.... No. Had him picked from Wednesday of last week and he was the best player tee to green. To sum it up...

CSB time.  My Godchild and his partner won Sam's team tournament at squire creek this past summer.  He said Sam was a cool dude.

I'm not convinced he's ready to win a major but I was surprised to see he is now up to 18th in the world.

Nope. There are 20-30 guys with a legit shot, on paper, of winning majors & there's always the odd rando that shows up once every year or two. Odds are stacked against him.

The only person to win a major out of out left field these past 2 years was Phil. Rahm was the odds on favorite at the US Open this year. Morikawa was top 10 in odds at the PGA last year and The Open this year. Pretty sure Bryson and Dustin were pretty high at the Masters and US Open. With that said, I think pre-tournaments odds (if that's what you are referring to??) mean next to nothing in majors. I feel like more often then not they are based off how well-known a player is. For example, Rory Mcilroy has better odds for the 2022 Masters then Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa (which is completely laughable).

His current odds for winning a major is between 50/1 for the Masters and up to 80/1 for the Open Championship. I would say the chance of him winning a major for the next 5 years is not very good.
