Golf Monitor data.

Good evening, I purchased a Swing Caddy golf monitor.  The SC300. The thing works well.  I practiced with it during the winter months and forgot how much less a golf ball travels when cold.  I digress, I am looking at the data and I have no idea what I am looking at.  Yes of course I understand swing speed and carry but what does smashfactor mean?   I am going to give an example of my last practice session in March. I have since been trying to receiver fully from Covid. 
I noticed my RPM is very high. The day was cold so the ball didn’t have any distance.  My present driver is the taylormade M4 10.5 with a projext x riptide cb 70 6.0 driver shaft.  If anyone can decipher what I am looking at that would be great.  Also, am my numbers bad?  Good?  Horrible?  Should I be changing things up?  Thank you in advance.

smash factor is simply ball speed divided by cub head speed.  And yes your spin is both high and inconsistent but I'm pretty sure (last I checked) the SC300 doesn't measure spin directly so hard to say how accurate the spin numbers are.

 

For a driver, smash factor should be in the 1.47-1.50 range ideally - but that can depend on the LM used since there are variations on how (or when or where on the club) the club head speed is measured.   Low numbers can be an indication of poor face impact location or too much dynamic loft delivered into impact or even the face too open to the path (or any combination of those).   That face impact location is also the #1 factor in determining spin.  Dynamic loft delivered being #2.

 

Go over this following tutorial in self fitting the driver.  It goes over how to monitor that face impact position and possibly how to improve it.   Only once you've been able to get good and consistent face impact position can you then start to look at the numbers to judge your swing or anything else about the fit of the club.
