Odyssey White Hot confusion

So many damn white hot inserts idk which one is which. Might snag this putter (images attached), wondering if it’s the old white hot insert (like the original “white hot”),or one of the newer ones). I see you can still buy this putter new but it doesn’t say “PRO” on insert. I’ve played two putter my entire life, a 2001 white hot #1 (99% of time), and a Wilson 8802 style mallet, great with short puts with Wilson, but much better putter overall with #1 and love the insert. Hoping to get best of both worlds here. Also what’s your opinion on best insert, I haven’t liked any of the microhinge version the past how many years. Anyway to rejuvenate the

That's the white hot pro line from 2013, from all the literature I can find, it was meant to mimic the feel of the original white hot, while being more consistent across the face. I'm not a fan of insert putters in the slightest, but here's some insert info

The White Hot Pro insert is the same as the original White Hot and the same as is in the new White Hot OG.  The design was re-engineered to have a more consistent thickness, which made the feel be more consistent across the models.  A great insert!

Im dense, forgive me. But doesnt "re-engineered" make them different ? Can you please elaborate what has been re-engineered ?? Did the original White Hot have inconsistent thickness ??

I believe he’s referring to the actual manufacturing of the heads and inserts, not the formula used to make the insert, just the processes to make them more uniform.
