Wedges with graphite shafts

I was fit at TXG  in Toronto for SM8’s and the fitter put me into Accra graphite’s which are nice and lite compared to steel wedge flex.  Anyone found great graphite wedges off the rack

I like the Rotex that comes stock in the CBX2. I also have one CBX2 with Recoil 95R which is same shaft as my irons, and also a Mizuno S18 55 with LZ Tour 90g. Essentially I like being close in weight and feel to my irons, ymmv.

As a lefty I never see graphite wedges off the rack but I play Recoils 780 in my Glide 3.0 that match my current irons. I have played the Rotex shafts in Clevelands before. I believe they are actually made by UST.

Yes, Ping stock graphite shaft. All these shaft “feel” differently went away after I practice with it a little bit. I never thought about it anymore.

I have the OTI 110 X in my irons and want to go to something similar in my wedges. Would like something in the 120-130g range for the wedges.

Also recently fitted into Accra iTour 90s for a new set of irons.    I'm coming from Steelfiber i95s which I also had in my wedges.  Fitter recommended keeping the same shafts in the new wedges.... but I'm wondering if the SFs will blend well with the Accras in the irons.    Might pick up a iTour 100g to try as a wedge shaft.

 

Curious if anyone has any similar experiments.

 

Never seen stock graphite shafts in wedges off the shelf.

I game Accra 95cw's in my irons and have experimented with SF 110's in the wedges this past year. I feel they work well and the bit of extra weight feels fine to me. To me the accras feel a touch smoother then the SF, and I dropped the SF to a R flex for my lob wedge. Granted this is CW SF not i95 and I am unsure how similar their respective balance and EI is. 

 

I also picked up some Accra 105cws and stuck them in my gap wedges (full swings on those a plenty) and I am quite happy with them. I don't think you can go wrong either way if you like the feel of both. Since you have shafted SFs you like I see no reason to pull them.

Look into the MMT 125 TX.  They work great in my irons.  Mid/low shaft for me.  They were modeled after the X100 in terms of flight.  I'm going to make the change into the same shafts for my wedges here pretty soon.

Callaway wedges are available off the rack with Project X Catalyst. I love the Accra shafts in my wedges.

Thanks, those are top of my list for sure! I love my OTI's and just want something a bit heavier and have heard great things about the MMT's.

Another option might be the Fuji MCI wedge shafts, in Solid or Mild, depending on the spin production you're looking for.  They come in a 125 option.

Thanks, I hadn't heard much about them but will definitely try them out. Most the talk I hear is about the Recoils, Aerotech, or MMT's.
