Heard him called an OWGR manipulator in some circles… I wonder what they are thinking now?! 🤔

It's amazing how some players learn to win very quickly such as Higgo whilst many good players take a while to get their 1st win.

Congratulations to Higgo on his 1st PGA Tour win.

Being a DECADE guy might help here.

This is a NLU thing, they don't look too fondly on the Euro Tour. Not exactly the strongest field last week, especially watching the train wreck of people trying to close it out, but it's still a PGA Tour win.

Higgo, while not on the same level obviously, strike me as a Spieth kind of player. His swing is probably not what you would teach, gets into strange positions, etc. But, good short game (leading putting on euro tour) and a good head.

Not that anyone still doubts it, but there is just so much more to pro golf than 'swing'.

They definitely do.

Totally get that it was not the best PGA Tour field but DJ was still there. Beating the World Number 1 over 4 rounds shows what Higgo has to offer. Certainly offered more than Higgs who they seem to love.

I know he hasn't been in the eyes of Americans, but he's spent quite a bit of time barely scraping through cut lines prior to his recent form.

And he is guilty of the the most vile form of OWGR manipulation, namely winning multiple tournaments.

That's even worse than those unspeakable vanity handicap manipulators who drop their handicaps by playing better golf.

He has had a great run. I watched him win on the euro tour and was really impressed, especially with his short game. I love the "let's see him do it with the big boys on tour" (he wins) "ah well not the strongest field" (DJ, Koepka, several other multiple winners abound). He won on American soil his second chance and yeah Hadley fell apart (I felt for him) but Higgo was clutch down the stretch.

I am partial to leftys being one myself, but Higgo has a nice game and seems like a good dude. Not sure he's going to rack up 100 wins but glad he's proven once again that the European tour isn't some sub tour joke that a lot of American golf fans seem to think it is.

And I agree th announcers are so much better on the Euro tour.

Calm down it’s euro event let’s see how he does in the PGA championship in a couple weeks. If he is good as you say he is might be worth a 50 dollar wager to win it.

I watched the final rounds of his last 2 Euro wins. I've been telling people he's the next superstar in golf. Maybe a PGA Tour Win in his first regular event will open people's eyes.

Sure it was a good win but there’s no disputing this one absolutely fell into his lap. The chances he’ll ever win again like that would be fairly slim.

I would agree but I would have said the same thing about Faldo’ first Masters victory and then it happened again twice at the same major

If he goes on to become a multiple tournament winner on the PGA Tour, all power to him. We’ll see.

I find it astounding that he has more wins on American soil than Louis!

I understand you're comparing him to Louis because they're South African but he's also got more US wins than Tony Finau (PR is US territory I guess)

Just got done watching the Final Round of the Palmetto, and watched both of Higgo’s recent Wins on the ET. Never want to hype someone up too early, but at only 22 yrs old, with his poise, polish, and impressive skills, he absolutely looks like the real deal!

They flashed a stat that he hit 79.85% of GIR’s at the Palmetto? I mean, that’s a pretty spectacular approach/short game for a player of any age! Not a fanboy yet, but I believe in his potential for sure!
