I got mine on Sunday!  This thing is a low spin rocket!  I played 9 holes with it Sunday afternoon and there was about a one club wind in my face, and I hit the longest drive I've ever hit on this one particular hole at my club.  Mishits were not near as punishing as I'd thought they'd be!  I can't wait to get this thing completely dialed in!

Hit it yesterday while waiting on a putter regrip. Hit it with a motore x f3 6s shaft. I play x flex shafts and the motore was a bit whippy for my liking.

But the stg head certainly performed. I didn't trick around with weight configs. Weights were in the heel and toe slots, all the way back...neutral I guess. The driver does not lack for ballspeed. But it seems to be pretty fade biased. Nothing that setup changes can't fix. Will wait to see what TM releases next year, but I'll definitely test it more. It's a contender for those who prefer adjustability.

I can already envision setting it up in higher lie, one notch closed, one weight center back and one weight back toe side.

Face is super, super deep. May be off-putting for me, ultimately.

I’m seeing a lot of YouTube reviews from some bigger names who have tested this.  TXG just came out with theirs today.  Surprisingly I didn’t see any or very slight in overall distance compares to the ST-Z.  In fact it seems in one the TSi3 beat out the ST-G220.  In TXG’s you did see some flight and launch/spin differences but if you compare those to Ian’s current set up, he was longer with the Sim2.  Now he does say he is trying to not swing the same when that video was released compared to today but other videos have shown it’s not a big distance gainer.  More of a driver to help reduce spin or have moveable weights to change the flight of the shot.  If you struggle with spin, this could be the “one” but I wouldn’t expect anyone to gain 10-15 yards, unless your current driver doesn’t match your swing at all.

still want to try it but I don’t know if this will “White Whale” I originally thought.

I saw it yesterday. Face really didn't look that deep to me.

TS1-3 deep maybe, but not M1 440 deep.

I'm 71 and 225 off the tee.

If I move both weights to the back and set the adaptor at the 10.25, 0.5* closed position can I handle this thing with a Diamana Red 50?

I'm sure you could. I think the question is, if your goal is forgiveness and launch - why not go Ping G425Max/SFT. Just design wise, the ST-G will never be as forgiving as those of a Ping or Cleveland XL or even a TSi2.

If you are 225 off the tee, my worry with the ST-G would be spin consistency - you don't want to have a few over-performance only to then see 5 fall out of the sky

Thanks for the advice!

I think I'm gonna pass on the ST-G.

Any thoughts about the X and the Z?

Got my 220G this weekend.  Ordered from TGW on the 21st and was hitting it on the course on the 22nd.  9* (only loft made), HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 6.0.  Comes in at 45" and D3/D4 swingweight.  Grip is a Lamkin ST Hybrid, of which I am not a fan.  It's a bit squishy.  I prefer a Golf Pride Tour Velvet.  Quick comparison against my 190G, and there is no comparison.  Lower spin, more forgiving all across the face, hotter off the face, and much better sound at impact.  More muted, gives a good thwack, reminds me of a Ping or Titleist.  I did notice a *very* slight whistle from the head during practice swings.  But you have to listen for it, no way you would notice during an actual swing.

Only bad thing is one of the weights decided to disappear on the 3rd hole.  I moved the toe weight over to the heel because I like a lot of draw bias.  The weight lasted through the entire practice session on the range, so not sure what happened.  Maybe a bad weight, maybe the track is malformed, or I can't turn a small torque wrench correctly like the 1000 times I've done in the past.  I have contacted TGW and Mizuno, hopefully one of them will send me a new weight.

To add, the weights from the 190G and the 220G are the same, so at least I can use one of those until a new one is sent out.

I make the weight click twice.... but things happen.

Probably more Titleist than Ping - the 425 in comparison, is not in the G220 league in sound. The Ping head also doesn't feel as if it goes through the air while swinging as easily as Callaway or the Mizuno, for example.

But remember, this is a low spin driver, only offered in 9 degrees. I would get fit for shaft. Some may want a lighter weight, more mid kick instead of high kick, and some may opt for a higher launching, softer tip for more spin. Or if you hit down on driver and have too much spin, this is probably your ticket.

If it's a 410/ tsi2 or 3 feel, I'm ordering tomorrow haha

Mizuno sent a replacement weight, so that's nice.  Although their shipping might need some optimization.  The only thing inside the package was the weight inside a plastic baggie.  It was shipped in a 4"x6"x8" box with no padding.  Just a loose weight in a box.  Lol.

Still not going to be using that half of the weight track which is annoying.

Oh I'd slap that weight right back to the spot the other one failed to see if the head needs to be replaced...
