1.54 smash factor with 5 driver shots and 3 3 wood shots at recent callaway demo day ...pic included

How is this possible ?  I did it basically 5 times with my driver and 4 times with my three wood .  
 

Callaway demo day this last weekend at my country club.  Club pro was standing there. ....  JR Georgesdis was the rep

Most likely a misread on the driver speed.

Because the clubhead is rotating a bit coming in to impact, the toe of the club is traveling faster than the center which is traveling faster than the heel.  Your Trackman speed of 105 mph is going to be the average speed of the clubhead at impact, not the exact speed of the point on the clubhead where you made contact.  Thus, if you hit a shot toward the toe side of center, the ball reacts to a club traveling faster than 105 mph, but Trackman doesn't know that and divides the ball speed by the too low value of 105 mph when calculating the smash factor, which gives you the impossibly high result.

105 mph with a perfect smash factor of 1.50 should result in a ball speed of 158 mph. Anything over 158 would result in a higher smash factor.

 

105 mph with 270 carry seems a little high though.

 

PGA Tour average of 113 mph with 167 mph BS = 275 carry.

This - and I believe also from the fact that TM measure club head speed near maximum compression of the golf ball - not at first impact- so after the head slows down a bit from the impact.

I think you are missing the point of the replies.  His swing speed here is more like 108, not 105.  But ball speed is very likely correct and when putting in his numbers in the flightscope trajectory optimizer, it gives 270 carry.  Remember a lot of pros don't hit up on the driver and do not maximize their distance, although that may be a changing trend.   110 clubhead speed with optimized swing and equipment and a firm fairway is enough to get you over 300 yds these days.

I know that when I hit on a GC Quad I am always under 1.47, but I’ve been over 1.50 (barely though 1.51) on Trackman a few times.

Trackman is under reading your CHS because of toe strikes or the materials/geometry of that head. 

 

FYI - Quad is notorious for over reading CHS (lower smash factors) so the real CHS is usually in between Trackman and Quad.

Clubhead speed is probably off.  My last lesson with Trackman had my swing speed 5 mph slower than usual so my smash factor numbers were huge.  Just focus on ball speed.
