Help me pick a shoe!

Looking to buy a new shoe. Looking at Nike ZIT, Puma pwradapt cage or Adidas CodeChaos. I don't have any place close to me to try these out. Just going by reviews. Looking for a white pair. Any pros or cons to these? Thanks appreciate it.

I have the wides in size 12. Other Nikes like ADG3 and AM97 I wear 12. TP i have 12 wide.

Just from looking at the photos, I think the upper might be more comfortable as it uses a knit.  It'll possibly be more breathable and stretchy.  I don't see any weatherproof strip on the toebox, so it might not be as waterproof as last year's version.  The overall style... just my opinion, but I like it much more.  It reminds me of the KB8 or Crazy 8 basketball shoe.  That was one of Kobe's signature Adidas shoes.  It was renamed the Crazy 8 after Kobe left for Nike.  Also looks like the midsole and sole are identical to the previous version (which is what everyone loved about the CodeChaos).  

 

There's zero news on when these come out, but I'm getting the white with the blue/purple/red knit. If I can't get that, then the grey version... maybe both.

 

For OP, Nike has a phenomenal return policy.  You can literally go play a round and if you don't like them, you can return them within 30 days.  Adidas' return policy is they have to be new, but you can try them on.  Nike and Adidas have free returns, so there's no risk.  Don't know about Puma.

I was surprised how comfortable the Nike ZIT was. I did feel much higher off the ground vs my current dryjoys. If GG had the white in stock it's likely what I'd be wearing now.

If you have no stores near you, buying from Amazon/Zappos offers free and easy returns.  I had to return 3 pairs of golf shoes to finally find a pair that was comfortable and fit properly.

I almost always walk and the code chaos are ridiculously comfy. Would definitely recommend. Swaggy too

I am a 11.5 in most Nike golf shoes, going back to the LC4s. However, in one of the special edition 1Gs and also the ZITs, I'd never be able to get my foot into an 11.5. It's 12 all the way in those.

 

I also have a skinny foot, so I'm not one of those people who would go up in length just to get some more width. The ZITs do run narrow -- but they also run small (short) to me. 

 

Check out the Nike '21 shoes thread, and you'll see lots of experiences with ZIT sizing. Some folks have had to try out 2 or 3 size combos to get the right fit.

Adidas CodeChaos are the most comfortable golf shoes I've owned.  I have 2 pair currently and will have more if they come out with other colors

I would have to drive 4hrs to try them on. Gonna have to pick a pair and hope they work out.

Well then I would suggest see if you can find a street shoe by each maker similar to the golf shoe and try them on if you can. I have wasted more than a $1k trying to buy shoes without trying them on.

I have multiple pairs of CodeChaos and they're awesome. The way its woven helps with maintaining stability when rotating/transfering weight. However, I did slip abit under wet conditions. If you're a fair weather golfer, they'll be awesome.

I guess the CodeChaos are out of the question for now. Can't find those all white ones anywhere in my size.

Codechaos in white have been my favorite shoes for sometime.   The only complaint, if any, is the traction isn’t the best but it’s not a slip-fest either.   I have never slipped in wet conditions in them only hard packed super dry conditions. But only a few times.  
 

because, I too can’t find any in my size in white, I bought the Ecco S-three and TL OG1.2.  Both completely different shoes and like both.   TL being zero drop is as far apart as a normal golf shoe you can get.  The s-three are very comfortable and stable and provide fantastic grip.   Very happy with them to follow up the codechaos.

Moneymaker by Cuater/Travis Matthew. The best shoes I've worn in over 40 years of golf. Up until last year I'd worn Ecco's since Fred went strolling down Riviera over a decade ago until I discovered the Moneymaker.

Many retailers have generous return policies. Nike, Adidas, Zappos, Amazon to name a few. Carl’s Golfland also does free shipping and returns. Even if returns are not free, I bet shipping to you is and the return charge is under $10. 

 

Plenty of options that that do not require driving 4 hours to try on shoes.

Ended up ordering the white/ platinum ZIT. Wish I would of sooner. By far the most comfortable golf shoe I have worn. I'm glad I didn't size up. Normal size fits great.
