I’ve been watching the 11.5 become increasingly popular on tour, so I had my own put together by Kyle at Bastian Milled.  It was featured on his IG page recently and it’s on its way back. 
 

Not sure it’ll unseat my gamer, but it’ll almost certainly be what I travel with this summer.

He's very good at responding. I've messaged him on and off for years with ideas before sending my JAT to him. I really want him to do his weld cover up sight line and smooth sole work but it sounds like he likes to do that stuff during the off season.

Strange, I sent mine in April and got it back in beginning of June with plenty of communication. He put the business on hold until fall from what he told me but im sure he would have finished work before stopping.

communication had been good up until yesterday (no response yet) and i know he had been in the process of moving.  since i sent him everything in march, i think i've been more than patient, but when i see other projects returned to people before mine and him posting things on instagram but no update on mine it starts to annoy me a bit.

 

i'm considering just asking for a refund at this point, as paypal has a 6 month window and i'm starting to get concerned that i won't be able to get my money or putter back.  his original ETA was 3 months and we're obviously into october at this point.

Strange. I didn't pay until he contacted me it was done and ready to ship. Something sounds off. Kyle is one of the best. If communication was good until yesterday then he would have already explained the delay....

I got some pricing from Kyle previously and was surprised how much he charges. I really like his work and love his in house putters.  For the price I was quoted for a new neck, I could have bought a putter.  For the price of buying the putter and doing a neck mod, you could buy a new custom from numerous putter makers.

I regret sending payment up front and I’m now requesting a refund until it’s complete.  I have no confidence that this thing will get completed this year.

 

pissed that he’s finished other peoples projects in between.

whens the last time he communicated with you? I have had phenomenal work done by him before. I exchanged texts with him earlier this year poking around but now I’m ready to move forward with my project and he hasn’t returned texts or answered phone calls. I really would prefer to have him do the work instead of someone else but it seems like something is up. I honestly hope everything is okay but I wish he would at least return a text saying he’s not accepting work right now or whatever.

OP here.

 

I mailed the head in on 3/29, and had it back by 5/24. The only reason I know that is because I still have the healthy trail of Instagram messages and in-process pics from the project. 
 

I had a great experience with Kyle.  ..

Spoke to him in the summer and he said he was taking a break and coming back in the fall. Reached out in the fall and got nothing...

same situation. He said he was moving workshops and would be up to go come October. Reached out middle of October and didn’t hear back. Hope he’s doing alright.

I think it’s a general consensus that he’s gone for good at this point.

And from seeing in other threads, he has provided some refunds but many putters are unreturned and missing. Not looking good sadly.
