I know they can score.  But the PGA hasn't even set up the course to play at its toughest level yet.

I don't know if Bez/Grace are just doing this because they're used to these conditions or the course simply is very playable today if you're good/on your game.  If its the latter then I still think Brooks could come out and easily get to -8 or -10.  Grace/Bez are no slouches, they've both got quite a few tour level wins.

So Rory is the pound for pound longest on tour. The way he moves the ball at his size is astonishing.

I saw Cameron Champ in person the other day and can assure you that his listed height of 6’0 is a definite “roster height”. Both hit bombs though.

A Phil win would be interesting for the PGA pool I'm in. One of the guys had picked Molinari on his team and asked if he could have a replacement when Frankie W/D. The guy running it let him pick a replacement, had to be from the TH afternoon groups since the tournament had already started. So he let him have....Phil. Of course. If that guy wins the pool....

Yep. A lot of these guys are that way.  
 

was reminded of that today.   I went to the tailor this morning for a suit fitting.  ( long story.  But I’m due for one and I have an event coming up ).  Anyway. I fit into a 43long for jacket with a slim cut , and a snug 17 neck for collar size on shirt.    For reference DJ is listed as a 42long.    So yes. Most are surprisingly small when I see them in person.

Oh yeah. “Roster height” definitely isn’t exclusive to football and basketball. Bottom line is, professional athlete or not, most men just feel the need to add 2-3 inches! 😂

It’s definitely surprising to see some of these guys in person. DJ was a big guy. I think his listed 6’4’’ is pretty accurate and he’s a well-built dude. Zalatoris - what you see is what you get. Tiny. I think most other were what I expected other than Bryson (was expecting bigger. Looks like a big guy, but not the Hulk as he’s portrayed) and Finau was actually not as big as I thought. Definitely tall and a bit “gangly” but I always thought he was a giant. Unfortunately I did miss Rory.

He is on 18 so I'm afraid to say he had a great round just yet. Haha. And 36 holes without a double is going to be a challenge.  But, he is Phil.
