Ariya's WITB (in particular her 3w)

It appears she was swinging a SIM. I'd love to know what shaft she's using. 

 

That said, has anyone seen an updated WITB for Ariya? Everything I've found is from 2018 or older.

Definitely looks like a TM SIM 3 wood in her bag.

 

I may be mistaken, but the irons look like Mizuno MP-18 SCs. Notice the roadrunner on the top near the tow.

 

 

She does use a long iron off the tee. 'Can't make out the logo, but it looks like Taylormade. The cavity back has some small writing near the bottom. It doesn't look like a P750, P770, or P790. Might be a TM Tour Preferred UDI utility iron.

 

 

Looks like her old Odyssey Works Tank (bottom weights) Cruiser V-Line putter.

Yeah, I'm used to seeing her with that AeroBurner 3w so the SIM was a real surprise. I would really like to know her exact setup. If she was hitting it 270 on those soggy Thai fairways she must be using a strong loft, maybe a 14-deg Rocket? 

 

Looks like the 716 AP2 irons got replaced as well. The Tank and the UDIs appeared to stay. Why wouldn't they, LOL. I still don't understand how she casually hits 2i/3i into Par-5s like that's not hard, LOL

 

Funny she isn't sponsored, I guess. .

Yes....looks like a TM UDI.

 

But IMO...does the iron does look like a Mizuno.

 

I see a chevron on the iron....but it doesn't look like any Cally iron I'm familiar with....kinda looks like it might be a Cally wedge???

Ya....she played the AB FW forever....yes...I agree it could be the SIM Rocket 3W....supposedly the head is a hot missile launcher.

 

Remember how long Sei Young Kim played the SLDR....one of TM's most UNFORGIVING low spin heads.

Look at the below....SYK....playing the M5 in the fall of 2020 with both weights near the face to reduce the spin....therefore pretty unforgiving.

I play the M3 and I need all the help I can get (forgiveness).....so both my weights are back and near the heel.

 

I tried my friend's SIM2....I think it's fairly low spin.

 

If I wasn't a cheapo...I'd love to own the Ping 425 Max with the Ping Tour 65 stiff....such a nice forgiving head.

Since the G30 series...I think Ping has some of the most forgiving driver heads of all the OEM's.

The Ping FW's and hybrids also get lots of love for their forgiveness too.

 

I'm not surprised that Ariya doesn't have a significant OEM club sponsorship.

Outside of Thailand....I don't think Ariya appeals to the masses.

 

And women really don't help sell clubs.

I don't believe anyone has walked into a big box retailer and asked a sales person.

"Hey, can you show me the irons Ariya is playing, I'd like to demo them"

 

Heck...even Cobra hasn't forced Lexi to upgrade her S2 or S3 forged irons.

She played Vokey wedges for years. I don't see a change to Mack Daddy's unless she picked up Callaway sponsorship. MD4 and MD5 wedges have the four dots along the back bottom of the club, and the arching 'Callaway' name around the chevron at the toe. 'Definitely not an MD wedge.
