First range session in 10 years - Video from 2021 and 2010

This is my first range session in 11 years. I played about 120 rounds a year from around 2000 to 2010 but got burnt out and life got in the way (grad school, marriage, kid, couple homes, etc.).

 

I got as low as a 2hcp, but bounced around 4-5hcp. I'm a little inconsistent (to be expected after a 11 year layoff), but I bought a new Cobra driver (coming from a 2003 TM580) and difference in length, forgiveness and shot dispersion is massive. Typical ball flight is a fade. 

 

No idea where to start at this point. Ball flight and distance are fine. More so just want consistency.

Club face is slightly open at the top; which accounts for the fade, try to get your wrist to suppinate to help keep the face closed. I see you're just a tiny bit slidey in the swing, but there's not much I see that looks glaring besides your stance being super shut; but if it works for you and is consistent, there's not a ton of reason to change it.

I'd generally agree with @BraxtonFullerton's assessment above. Overall it looks like a super solid swing, and you can see that low single digit skill for sure. I also noticed that slight slide. 

 

If it were me, I'd write your current inconsistency off as a function of muscle strength and overall conditioning.

 

If you haven't played in 11 years, those muscles have atrophied over time, becoming weaker and forgetting what they are supposed to do. I'd keep hitting balls and focus on maintaining your stable base. Over time, the strength and muscle memory should return. Wouldn't be surprised if in six months or so, you are back to where you once were.
