Course near Quintero to tack on after

we have a mid morning tee time Saturday at Quintero, and are looking for somewhere near where we can squeeze in some more golf. What are the options? It doesn't have to be a top tier course. Would like to keep it below $70 if possible.

Given how remote Quintero is, define "near." Where are you coming from?

 

Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia is probably the closest to Quintero. Twilight rate drops to $48 after 3 pm

+1 on Trilogy is a good option.

 

Has a great deck for food and drinks afterwards.

+1 on Sterling. Wasn’t sure if it would qualify as “near” but it’s a good, tough track

500 Club maybe? Meets the price criteria and is kinda on the way back to Scottsdale. I like the course. They stop letting people out around 3pm though, unless something has changed.

Used to work there. It would be super slow in the afternoon during the summer. I would be surprised if they didn't let anyone out late afternoon. About once a week, we'd be waiting on one or two groups to come back just after sunset. Granted, this was two summers ago so things might have changed. Are you thinking about the Futures Course (their Par 3 course)? That one closes around 4 every day.

No, I mean the main 18-hole course. Their website doesn't have tee times after 3pm and I had called a few times over the past year or two to inquire if I could tee off around 4-5pm and was told no. Maybe they just don't like me, who knows. They are probably the most unfriendly course to singles in the Valley in terms of their tee time policies.

Yeah they have some business practices that I didn't agree with or understand. Current owner is not in any capacity to manage the course, so the general manager has been the one running the show. I'm wondering if they only let the members out in the late afternoon now.

Yeah, the guys in the clubhouse are a mixed bag.   A few of them are incredibly nice and accommodating....others aren’t so personable.  In the summer you can typically just stop by the pro shop and get right on.  They’ll typically just want the cart back by 530-6(I don’t really remember the exact time, may be later, but in my experience it’ll take about 1:45-2hrs to get through 18 if you hustle).  Definitely a fun course that is very playable.  Only real issue lately has been an increased  amount of players due to the pandemic, and some are pretty slow.
