Aldila RIPx 55 & 65 (2020 model) Brand New for $85 at Dallas Golf

Just popped up on my instagram so figured I'd share. Looks like they have the 55g and 65g in all flexes for $85. That includes a choice of adapter and the velvet style grip (looks like it's extra for the other grips). I gamed this shaft for bit last year in my driver and still game the 95g in my 5 wood. Super underrated aftermarket shaft IMO.

How does it play compared to the original NV, or the next gen NV?. I have a diamana s+ that seemed to be working very well, but always like the aldila shafts.

Yeah, that should be the case. I checked the Aldila website it goes straight from Stiff to TX

I ended up buying a 65TX myself. I love my Ventus Black but I just couldn't resist the price on this to not try it again, haha. I requested the adapter and grip un-installed and shaft uncut. Hopefully they allow that!

They should.  I requested a lefty TMAG tip on mine and followed up on my confirmation email to make sure it was done to which they stated "Your order has been notated with this information.  We will process the order as requested.  If there are any questions, we will contact you." So seems like it should be no problem.

I called them and they said just to make a note during the checkout and they won't install them

Just picked up a 65 Stiff for my custom blacked out Mavrik - gonna look awesome.  Been wanting to try this shaft...Thanks OP!

Just circling back on this as I put the RIPx in play for 36 this weekend.  Awesome shaft, and insanely good for the price.  It displaced the AD-TP I had in it.  If you’re on the fence, pick one up!

As a (still) OG user or the RIP Alpha - I had to give this a go.

 

Usually play a 70g stiff in my driver - bought a 55s and 65s to switch try a lighter shaft in my driver and 3wd.

 

so far - 55s in my sim2 8* playing @ just over 45" and its a beast...very anti-left (for me) i can swing free/easy and let it fly.

I wouldn’t hold my breath it’s accurate.  I asked mine to play 45” in a Mavrik head and it came at the stock length for Callaway.  Easy fix though.

I just asked for standard length in a SIM MAX and loose grip as I’ll put my own on.  We’ll see what happens.  Thanks for the heads up!  I’ve spent $100 on worse stuff before.

Got mine last week. What a deal! My only grip is the PING G410/G425 adapter that they sent is definitely an aftermarket one. Seems like a quality one, though. I think I am going back to the G400 driver so I'll be building it up with the G series adapter, anyways.

First round with the new shaft, 65-S, and so far it works pretty well for me.  A little drop in distance for me, maybe due to mid launch and low spin, but no left hooks so far.  I will point out it’s a work of art looks wise!!  Just awesome in that category!!

Couldn’t agree more.  There are a lot of great design elements in this shaft and it compliments my custom blacked out Mavrik head perfectly.  I’m a little longer with the SIM2 combo but the Mavrik/RIPx has been borderline auto pilot.  I like both!
