Yeah, the course is gorgeous. Definitely on my bucket list after seeing the PGA and LPGA tee it up here. The fact that the lands was basically raw desert when they started makes it more amazing. It's crazy what one can do with truckloads of dirt/sand and a few bulldozers.

I was really disappointed Danielle Kang lost yesterday, but the match was great to watch.  Both Danielle & Allie played tough, and handled their win/loss with class.  I'll be rooting for Allie to win today!

The old adage in Vegas is that they give you a free room, but you pay for the casino. 'Should be updated to include the golf course.

 

Wynn closed its golf course in 2017, only to reopen it when the whales took their business elsewhere. I read that a big reason a lot of the high rollers stayed at the hotel/casino was to play the course.

Well Danielle is a member but is also sponsored by MGM, and looking at the members I'm thinking the sponsorship is only a membership to the club, which would still make it one of the biggest LPGA endorsements lol

Either Shadow Creek or Pebble Beach has consistently been ranked as the most expensive course in the world.  Green fees of $500.00 or more are to be expected.

 

A good idea is to go with @Stoochand pay with his bitcoin money!

Not at all the case. I think this is the most common myth about the course itself. Anyone that stays at an MGM property can book a round - has nothing to do with being a high roller. Pay the $500 or so for the round, and thats it.

Loved watching Ally Ewing take down Danielle Kang! Ally was a complete beast out there. Never gave up. Danielle is annoying as hell sometimes. She's a little too much for my taste; too serious for her resume of what, one major? Bundle of obnoxious energy. 

 

Also awesome to see my favorite (Ariya) advance. Nice to see her get a little revenge for Moriya. I want to root for Minjee but man, she's just got a knack for choking. 

 

Also awesome to see Popov making good on her opportunities.

I spoke with Grace back in 2012 at the CWO.....Danielle gets some of her personality from mom....dad was more reserved...RIP.

 

2) Yes, Minjee is likeable but hard to root for when she gags.

Minjee really goes under the radar....with her attractiveness and golf pedigree....you'd think she'd have more fanboys....no one really talks much about Minjee in this LPGA folder...she does have some fanboys back in Korea...and maybe a small fan club.

 

I last saw her in 2016...I think Minjee is naturally shy....and I  think she does not care much for the attention from the fans and media....but she's a pro and knows it comes with the territory/job.

I think she's really nice to the kids...(as 99.9% of the other LPGA pros too)....as she knows a lot of kids look up to her.

It should be a great final.   Both Ally and Sophia look fresh and strong; ready to give their best to win the championship.

 

DraftKings and other similar outfits are the big winners this week; unlikely any bettors selected these two as the finalists.

I use "guys" all the time when talking about PGA players, people are way too focused on specific words rather than intent behind them, but it's the internet, you can always find something to mad at if you choose.

At least half of my dream final came through. i'll be rooting for Sophia. She's been inspirational from her Major win through to now.

I'm shocked myself, but I've actually gotten used to Morgan Pressel in these last couple events. 

 

Bottom line, it's hard to find people who aren't stupid. Morgan's not stupid. Give your brain time and it'll get accustomed to her voice. We're all going to be thankful Morgan stepped up if she sticks with it. 

 

Totally agree on Ariya. She's my personal fav. Would've loved to have seen Ariya & Moriya go back-to-back-to-back. Oh, well.

Next week is the US Open.  Why play an extra 18?  I know there is money involved but sometimes rest is more important, especially before a big tournament.
