CGA Tour Arizona

I was on the internet the other day and came across The CGA Tour, It looks like a good way to get out and meet golfers and enjoy rounds at nicer places. Does anyone have any more information on this? The website is kind of vague and doesn't give much detail. I can see you pay for a membership ($49) but are the tee times discounted or full price? Any perks of doing this besides getting paired with some other guys at any course in the valley.

I've never heard of CGA Tour but for what it's worth I play tournaments with The Grint Tour. The guys I've been paired up with and have played around have been pretty cool and fun to be around. The tour membership with the Grint gives you discounted tournament and early bird tournament fees. I believe there is 5 flights, winner in each flight and an overall winner. I know I didn't really answer your question about CGA tour but just throwing another option out there for you.

Thank you! I am moving to AZ this weekend and looking for something that has some regular competition or money games.

https://www.scottsdalegolfleague.org/ is what you should look at for what you are asking.  It is the best competition and run golf org in the valley.

 

The CGA is new; and if it is the one I am thinking of, it will be quite sparse.

 

There is also Saturday golf league - decent, but know, competition, rules, etiquette, and other stuff are all secondary.  It's more of a get out and play organized golf.

 

The golf channel tour is decent - just not a whole lot of fun.  

 

AGA has their events too - but mostly geared for better golfers.

Papago and Dobson have the best men’s clubs at municipal courses. Both have very active memberships. PM if you want more info on either.
