Brooks never should have made this public.  My concern is some wacko in the gallery harming the player they don't like. Security is severely lacking at these events. Look how easy it was to walk up and steal one of Rory's clubs.

Really good point that’s being overlooked.

I think Brooks needs to have a chip on his shoulder. He seems to play better that way. He NEEDS that anger...he needs that to motivate him...why? Have no idea...but his entire persona is that way. It's an "F you world" mentality. Bryson is just his current target. Something else will get him all riled up down the road. Some athletes are like that. Tom Brady still has his draft card in his locker. He opens his locker and says it pisses him off every time he looks at it (he was drafted in the 6th round). It motivates him. He wants to prove everyone wrong. Why does BK focus on BDC? Have no idea...but the guy has won 4 majors, and finished high in multiple other ones...so whatever he is doing, it seems to be working for him.

For all the grief Bryson takes for being a d-bag, Brooks is just as big of one.

Hard to think of something more insignificant than anonymous internet nobodies whinging about Koepka.

The greatest golfers, Hogan, Nicklaus, Tiger were pretty much arrogant *****s in their prime and did not care about popularity contests.

Many of us like Koepka because he speaks his mind honestly and doesn't give a crap if you want to elect him prom king.  Of course it's your choice if you prefer posers like Rory "I'm really a nice guy please like me."

Go watch Koepka play in person, he absolutely flushes every shot and does not care if you like him.

I watch golf to see great golf shots, period. Could care less if shot maker is "likeable"

This is literally an internet thread discussing the likeability of these players and their current "rivalry" or "feud" or whatever you want to call it. Of course Brooks doesn't care what we or anyone else really thinks, we know...and clearly that arrogance, as you call it, appeals to many. Some golf fans/players grow out of--or never acquired--this "jock" mentality that some of these athletes like you mentioned thrive on.

But you did go out of your way to post in a thread you said is insignificant and make your thoughts known....and I do appreciate your perspective.

Here's my 2 cents...

1. When was the last time golf was this hot of a topic (excluding Tiger dominance). Its playing out like the NBA/NFL drama and its helping add eyeballs.

2. I don't necessarily like the way it's going down and I think it's a mistake to provoke the fans, especially with the ridiculous antics we've seen recently from the patrons at tournaments.

3. Golf has always been this "proper" sport, but I kind of like the raw nature. If you don't like someone, don't try to hide it. Just be authentic and air it out. These guys are highly competitive athletes, it would be naive to think everyone on tour gets along (or even likes each other).

With that being said, team Brooks all day over here. 100% he's a douchy, frat, athlete stereotype, but he seems to know who he is and owns it. I cannot stand Bryson's "I'm smarter than everyone in the room" attitude. And if I hear another "I hit that so good, how does it end up here", I 'm going throw my TV out of the window. I'm sick of complaining, you hit a bad shot, deal with it and move the f*** on.

And miss out on a chance to make $8m a year? Geez the tour has basically told them "Guys troll each other, make any news possible to get golf some media attention,  and we will pay you $8m a year".

This is going to go on for  the next 10  years+ that way Brooks and Bryson can pocket $100m each. Bet they even message each other in private and have a good laugh about trolling everyone.

I thought it was staged at first as well but Bryson just blows it off as being funny and doesn't egg it on like Brooks does.

If you think I'm a nobody that's fine 😉

I haven't visited or posted anything on these forums in almost 7 years despite keeping up pretty well with what's going on in the world of golf and playing 36 holes 2x a week, maybe that gives you an indication of his overall likability.  Frankly it's not something that typically even registers with me is golfers personalities but I've dealt with too many Koepka types over the years and just shake my head when I hear him talk.

BK doesn’t belong in the same book as TW or Jack much less the same sentence.

By his age they had 10 plus majors.

BK closer the the PP end of the spectrum as far as Majors and his attitude than to TW/Jack

Yep, and to take that further, this is why Lebron will never be as great as MJ. Jordan didn't want to be friends with everyone. He didn't want to just beat you. He wanted to embarrass you and he was an a** to everyone, especially his own teammates.

LOL

The Tiger worship is strong in this one Obi

Maybe check my post again, never mentioned BK in same sentence with tiger or jack. Just that they were arrogant during their primes

Pat Perez?  Seriously?  BK has more major wins (4) than Perez has PGA tour wins (3)

I like BK, his golf play that is, saw him at the PGA in NY.

But him and Bryson are very similar. That’s why they can’t seem to stay away from each other.

And neither is in the same universe as TW or Jack.

I wonder which one of these clowns would win in a actual throw down?

Now there is an idea. Since these guys want to act all WWE, then set up a PPV event, throw on some spandex, face paint and some tassels around your arms ala Ultimate Warrior and settle this fake fight like the real fake fights are settled - on TV with scripted lines and choreographed moves. The caddies can act as the "wrestling manager" and accompany them down to the ring just to highlight the absurdity of it all.
