Not to nitpick here, but this "Match" is at Moonlight Basin, not Yellowstone Club. They aren't too far from each other, but they are completely different places. Moonlight is much less exclusive, anyone renting a house there can use the facilities (though I think golf is an extra fee). This is first hand experience, I rented a house there on a Big Sky ski trip with a group of guys a few years ago and we were all allowed to use the Moonlight Lodge as renters. It was a pretty ideal setup and price wasn't too bad... thanks to having 9 people in a 4 BR house.

 

I think you're right though in regards to Phil and Brady being members at Yellowstone Club. Per his instagram Poulter seems to spends lot of time at Yellowstone too.

I stand corrected. I knew Big Sky has the Palmer course, and the Yellowstone Club had a course. I hadn’t heard about the Nicklaus course at Moonlight. I did know it was a ski hill, just didn’t know about the golf course.  Hmmmm, another one to try. Thank you.

Pairing NFL stars with PGA Tour players... I don't know, it doesn't do it for me.  If I wanted to watch guys slice one into the woods I can visit the local muni.

 

I think it would be more interesting to watch 4 of the top golf pros battle it out.

It's still just watching hackers trash talk and one good shot doesn't offset that.

 

I'd still rather see four of the best PGA Tour players going head to head with live mics, but that's me.  I also don't like watching the pebble beach pro am for the same reason.  Who wants to see some B list back street boy spray one into the pacific... but whatever floats peoples boats.

If they want to get pros, they need some of the other guys. Like a boo weekly, jason bohn, tim herron type. 

 

Problem is, its too much "half measure" stuff. Golf fans don't want to watch Tom Brady hack it up, and non golf fans also don't want to watch him hack it up. I don't want to say turn it into BarStool sports, but do something else; ether a straight up match, or full crazy. Have Bill Burr be the announcer, play worst ball, have a port a potty they have to bank it off of before they can hole out, play a hole blindfolded.
