ARTISAN 0318 milled stainless steel putter

Anyone here a fan of Artisan putters?

I’m definitely going to order one , I saw that one of the shaft was 35” I would have pulled the trigger.

I like the work they do on putters especially offering everything in LH which is nice. I'm also loving a few of the model refreshes they're doing too. I'd love to get one but if I do get one I have to 100% go down to HQ and get fit.

They do nice work but I’d never buy a used one that was completely tailored to someone else.    I’d love to get fit for my own personal one.

In all seriousness the whole experience is awesome - John is amazing at what he does. My putter is pristine after almost 3 years(slight patina now to the BlueBonnet). I bought it to last 10-15 years and right now it will.

 

My dad has a putter now as a present from myself. I have some wedges and now have some on order for my dad too; he has done well out of me and Artisan.

 

I will head up collect my dads wedges and get mine reblasted for the second time(last time) they come back like new.

Love my Artisan.  Received last November.  Was fit over the phone during COVID.  Probably, 20 minutes with John and he absolutely nailed it. We talked putters generally, likes, dislikes, etc. Ended up with a heavy 0820, blacked out.  I don’t even think about my other putters.

 

I am so confident with this putter.  I have certainly had streaks with other putters (just like other folks) but nothing like the confidence I have with this putter.  
 

With how much people spend on both custom and non-custom putters, I am floored that Artisan doesn’t get more love.  Expensive sure but a great value compared to some of the one trick (model) ponies out there.  I guess if you are buying it for your wall it is a different calculus.  Artisan is making putters to help make putts.

It's the cost, starting at 900 puts it out of the budget at many people when considering how deep the options are at half the price. Not saying this is a bad thing because I feel like that that price you are getting a lot more than you pay for. But for me if I was to get an Artisan putter I'd want to be fit in person, just for the experience along with the history of John and Mike have in the game of golf.

The fitting prices are going up so if you are going to do it then go fast!

 

Both fittings are worth it.

 

The fittings through video(for my dad) at least for the putter have been great; his wedges are getting a links grind on them so that will be cool to see when they are done(5 weeks since order).

Well I can't even cross the border so not much I could do, how much are they going up? Plus I wouldn't mind a weekend or extended weekend in Texas, I haven't had good BBQ and a break in a long time.

Well my putter fitting was free(no idea now) and my wedge was 100(I know a few who had free ones); now the wedge seems to be 300.

 

Both take a long time and you certainly get a bit of a lesson from both.

 

You can come across you just need to quarantine on your return.

 

If it wasn't a Tuesday and my fave place closed I would head for BBQ for lunch, you have made me hungry.

 

I am moving back to Scotland so I will be loosing all of this!

They don't make lefty wedges so I can only do putter fittings and even if a bit I'd pay for it. Sorry about that maybe tomorrow you can grab some BBQ for lunch

Putter and wedges.  

The long neck 0920 is my first ever blade style putter and I love it.

The wedges are simply the best clubs I have ever hit.

Cannot wait for their irons to be released.  Got to hit a proto cavity back 7 iron during my wedge fitting.  Wow...

If you are on the fence, go for a fitting and a tour.  At least you are going to get a great lesson out of the deal, even if you don't buy the clubs.
