Ping 2021 Fetch putter will not pick the ball up ?? Anyone else have this problem ?

Who knows? Point is don't be a dick about it. He bought it to pick up the ball. It doesn't do that. 

Agreed, stop hating if he wants a putter to pick up the ball with. Hell I’m 41 and have a bulging and degenerative disc, a putter like that is worth it’s weight in gold.

Hi All, yes i have just returned my 2021 fetch putter back to American Golf after 2 weeks. It worked in the beginning but no it now? Thought it might be the cold weather shrinking the metal, however this in not the case. Very strange. Won’t find our the outcome from American golf as they did not have a manager in store who could make a decision. Loved the putter though?

Old thread I just ran across. I had no issues or problems with mine (2021) picking up the ball EXCEPT one model of Maxfli ball. I can't remember which one but multiple balls of that model would not pick up. Just a tad too big to fit. I got a mix of Maxfli balls (& I won't again) & every one of that kind of ball would not pick up. I do know it's not the 'softfli' or 'straightfli' balls. I played those quite a bit & had no problem & every other ball I played was just fine. (Snell, Titleist, TM, Srixon, etc. etc)

My 2021 Ping Fetch would not get the ball out of the holes at Southampton CC (Massachusetts) but worked fine at Oak Ridge CC.  Could be the contours of the bottom of the cups are different.

I have the 2021 model and have noticed it never has a problem picking up a Titleist Pro V but other cheaper balls like pinnacle seem too small

I had a fetch and used it to get the ball out and fix the hole a bit.  
 

I think most the damage around the lips is from angry people jabbing the flag stick almost back into the hole.

Have you tried using a softer ball, mine won't pick up hard ones, like pinnacle or nitro or whatever.

I have a brand new ping fetch putter and I have the same problem…it will not pick up just any golf ball…so I have had to change the ball I’ve been using…Before buying a ball I have to take the putter to make sure it’s one of the balls it will pick up….anyone know how this can be fixed???

The fetch is long gone for me now. Don't know if it can be fixed I doubt it. Ping doesn't seem interested in the problem I am sure they are well aware of it there is problems with some of the 2021 fetch models .

My Heppler Fetch won't pick up matte finish balls. I was not told this at time of purchase.

I bought a ping fetch. Had the same problem. Liked the putter but would not pick up ball. Used two coats of clear finger nail polish along inside of the whole. Works great.

Yes, by a “ thingy “ which fits on the top of the grip enabling lazy folk to remove the ball from the hole. I have them on all my irons as I get loads of HIL’s.
