I’m in the 110 range but I’ve always struggled to keep my spin down with the driver and 3 wood.  I have a slightly quicker transition.  If you have a quicker transition I’d stay away from the Ventus blue.  I know some guys that have a more moderate tempo but like the feel of a more butt stiff club went with Ventus Red and tipped it 1”-1.5”

I am around 110 as well.

Spin was a problem with the Ping heads. the TSi3 was significantly lower, but going up to a 12g weight brought it up a little.

My swing tempo is relatively smooth, and the Ventus Blue 6x provides effortless distance if I just stay smooth. When I try to really get on it I get the duck hook. I went to a 75g Evenflow Black shaft on the G410 LST for this very reason -- the additional stability for when go for a big drive.

The difference is I'm getting the easy distance with the TSi3/Ventus that took more effort with the Ping.  I just have to mentally remind myself that smooth is fast. 🙂

I like my TSi3 a lot. I have just a bit of trouble turning the ball over to the left when needed which is weird since it's my normal shot shape. Took some getting used to  actually aiming down the middle instead of the right edge of the fairway but I tend to hit it very straight to a 5 yard cut at most and consistently around 270. SS around 100.

Exactly the same flight.  I picked up TSi3 / Ventus Blue.   I love the fact it removed the lefts.  I get the same 5 yard little fade you note.   When I try to turn it over it is more a deliberate motion and I know I am doing it so actually like knowing the feeling of what will happen.

As to everyone concerns.....no I did not gain 30 yards LOL.  I was using a TS3 / Tensi Blue and I could get the "Lefties" with that setup.   Was there a gain in distance?.... yes but only 5 yards roughly.  The best gain is I am hitting WAY more fairways right now with the TSi3 setup which is helping me score better which was the goal.

Would 100% agree with this.... it is an impressive (expensive) shaft and see why so many are playing Ventus right now.

Lots of fast faces out there right now, and honestly, I think Ping is on the bottom end of that list, BUT they DO make up for it in forgiveness... no question.  That said, I was like you in thinking, "why do I ever leave Ping drivers?!"... I currently have a TSi2 that I was fit for, a G400 Max that I tinkered with till it was right, and now a Mavrik that I bought OTR and have since done a little tinkering with.  I have to say, I am getting the Mavrik dialed in and I don't think I have ever seen such a neutral ball flight.  There is really a lack of leak in the ball either way and my misses are purely on me.  Feel and sound are miles better than the Ping and I have hit more long drives in a given round with it.  This could end my Ping run!  Though, I wont get rid of the Max, it is going to sit for now.

A lot of it comes down to the right fit, either by a professional or knowing your own game enough to dial it in.  Poorly fit clubs will just give you a headache.

The things you didn’t touch on was FEEL & COMFORT.  Everyone loves to say to get fit but these are things that are immeasurable by a professional club fitter.  I’ll take that over faster ball speed any day of the week.

Oh no, I agree, feel and comfort are huge.  But if you can find that combined with dispersion next, followed by ballspeed, it's an all around win.  So far, thats what the Mav has given me.   I would never fault anyone for going with a shorter driver because they are more comfortable with it and the dispersion is better.  Play what gives you the best shot.

I literally have this exact driver.  9 degree TSi3 head fitted to a Tensei AV White in X flex.  I was worried I wasn't man enough, like you.  But I can say I have increased my drives by 30 yards (not a typo - compared to an older Nike Vapor Speed Driver).  Swing speed is around 105mph with the big stick.  It's a little lower, but not really.  I'm super happy.  I just ordered a TSi2 3 wood and TSi2 hybrid with the Tensei white in X to go along with it.  Giver'

It’s a great driver. I could see how you’d see such a big gain coming from a driver as old as the Nike Vapor. For me coming from a driver only a few years old I didn’t see as big of a difference that justified the hefty price tag.
