With the pricing markdown I have set up an iron fitting. First time for a fit outside of a quick box store suggestion. Looking for honest, not pxg bashing, review\thoughts on irons. Looking at the p series- comparable to? My miss is thin-forgiveness? Was Looking at replacing apex 19’s with new apex line but these will come in cheaper and sooner.

I have had two different combo sets of the Ps and Ts. Ps 4-6, Ts 7-PW. I had the Ps 1* weak to match the loft of the Ts.

They are a very high quality iron. Once you hit them you will quickly know your preference. The more I play with them, the more convinced I am that I would go the Ps through the whole set if I bought them again. The only reason I say that is because I prefer the feel of the Ps. They feel softer because there is more “magic foam” in there. Sadly, I prefer the look of the Ts with the less offset and thinner topline. Regardless, try them both and see what you think. Your thin miss may be a turf interaction issue and you may find one of the soles to perform better for you. I would guess you will prefer the Ps for the thin miss but the sole may be key for you.

I would be surprised if anyone tried them and actually truly hated the product. They are an easy company to dislike and the prior price points will always draw out the haters. I hate their marketing but they make a great set of irons.

Lastly, you could always look at Srixon zx7s if the thin miss is due to turf interaction. I ordered a set last week and they have already shipped and I’ll get them Monday.

Good luck and let us know which you end up with!

They still fit for Gen3 even with the gen4 out? I hear the 4 are even softer.

I'm betting on the same kind of price reduction next year on the 4s but I'm definitely intrigued by the Gen3 due to pricing right now.

I was fitted for the Gen2 last November when PXG was running a similar sale and the Gen3 were newly released, so I am pretty confident they will fit you for the Gen3 and Gen4 as long as they still have them in inventory.  I was debating between the 0311 and Apex as well.  PXG really impressed me. They had the feel and setup I prefer and the price was less.  I agree with leftycabe about T vs P.  I was shocked how much better the P fitted my.  The biggest question is with the shafts.  PXG upcharge for certain shafts might end up being more.  I recommend finding a PXG fitter, because they can do things you can't have done just ordering on line, like softstep, hardstep, adding wraps under the grip, etc.  Either way  you should at least hit them or you will always wonder or at least I would.  All manufactures make top notch stuff.  Just a matter what you like and suits your game.

I went from Apex 19 combo to Gen 3 Ts (4-P).

Really liking them and feel forgiveness (especially thin and toe strikes) is really good.  They look great and I honestly think that for the profile they’re hard to beat. I feel they’re a little longer than my Apex which is fine, and PW at 46 degrees makes wedge gapping a bit easier.

Not true. You can call in your order and they will make these “custom” adjustments for you. I ordered my 0211 irons online then called a couple days later and they made the adjustments over the phone for me then sent a follow up email confirming the changes.

I have been looking for some new irons for couple years since my fingers arthritis is getting worse forced me to move away from my Z765/modus 120.  I have played the 0211 for 6 months and move on to Epic forge for a year now and my iron game is getting worse.  I have been to fitting at PGA, Golftec and tried all kind of irons, the stand out that I really like and considering ordering are ZX5, Hot metal pro, tried the new apex, apex dcb, apex pro a few times and they are OK.

Finally went to PXG outdoor fitting yesterday, really enjoy the look, feel, sound and performance of the the Gen 3 P, and the Gen 4 P, ended up ordering the Gen 4 P, 1/2" longer, 2 gram less weight in the center screw with KBS TGI 80 on the spots.  I just love everything about the irons.  Gen 3 is still better than all the other irons I have tried, Gen 4 just a little better in my hand especially with the ability to adjust the head weight a little bit better.
