More Blades for sale....including PGA played, Classic Ping Woods

First up is a set of 1982 Hogan Medallion irons.  Same shape as the 1978 models but with the Sunburst logo on the back instead of the corny copper picture of Ben Hogan's head.   Apex 4 shafts play a little softer and launch a bit hight than DG S300's.  Semi-wide, rounded sole makes these blades easy to play for a beginning blade enthusiast.  This is a really nice set with not much play wear at all.  3-Equalizer, Standard length.  "Am I good enough to play blades" ease of play ranking 4 out of 5.  Again, a pretty easy to play blade.

Now, a couple of sets of Palmers.   Arnold's company released some fine forging sin the 1980's but are often overlooked.

 

 

Palmer "The Deacon" irons, 3-PW with Hogan Apex 4 stiff shafts.   These irons are a beautiful design.  Pretty thin sole but with lots of camber to prevent digging.  A little tougher to play than the previously listed Hogan's but still a very playable design.

 

"Am I good enough for blades" ease of use rating 3.5 out of 5.  A little tougher than the Hogans but nothing the average WRXer can't handle.

And finally, some classic Palmer Peerless cavity backs if you are still convinced that you can't play blades.  3-PW with DG S300 shafts.  Very nice condition classic heads.

Late 1980's Spalding Top-Flite Custom Made iron set 2-PW with rare Dynamic Gold T500 shafts.  These have a longer first step and play like a higher launching S300 shaft.  Supposedly, these clubs were made by Spalding for Greg Norman to test out.  The story is he tested these out and then gave them to a friend that never played them, but instead displayed them for years.  These irons are in nearly new condition from 30 years ago.   A very rare set.

Early 1980's Spalding Custom Made set 2-9.   This set was played by PGA pro Jerry McGee in the early 80's and has his initials staled in the heads.  These swing weighted very light so I built them 1/2' long with 3/8' increments.  I also installed Winn Dri Ten Lite grips to get the swing weight up.   This set has had the leading edge ground and play wonderfully.  Dynamic stiff shafts.

Mid 1980's Spalding Top-Flite Custom Made iron set 1-PW.   This is a full custom set, 1-PW with DGS300 shafts.  Another very clean set with no browning or big dings.  Just a little bag chatter.   Wide sole make these a breeze to play.

Late 1980's Spalding Tour Edition Custom Crafted irons 3-PW, S300 shafts.    The most sought after Spalding iron set there is.  Fantastic forgings that are surprisingly easy to play.

Ping Eye 2 wood set 1,3,4,5 in nearly new condition.  ZZ Lite stiff shafts.  These haven't been hit much at all, still have the original Ping grips.  The driver has a small sky mark and the 5-wood has a slight ding on top, but otherwise in fantastic shape.

I think the Ft. Worth’s are the best Hogan iron ever, great clubs.   I just have too much stuff I need to move some things on to new owners.

Those Deacon's are awesome!  I love the look at address. If I hadn't just reshafted my Mac's I'd be all over those.  Someone needs to snap them up quick!!  GLWS.
