Just made this one out of an old ranch 😆

Sand

Or a shovel.  Ball marks are on the green, divots are off the green.  I want to find who started calling those tools 'divot tools' and slap them.

I just use a tee these days, I've always got one in my pocket and it works as well as anything I've had in the past.

I got a couple of the Scotty 2 prong pivot style ones couple years ago and have been using one of them since. Works great, I've made some single prong style ones and have used the little switchblade type one in the past. They all work, I prefer 2 prong does the job faster.

I am a big fan of single prong divot tools, my favorite is the MannKrafted 6061 tool with the clip, just keep it in my pocket and never gets in the way. I may order another one or two as backup/gift. I also have one of those Kraken Crayons but haven't brought mine out yet, just kinda grab the MannKrafted every time.

I'm looking for other single prongs as well, kinda start a collection.

This is the best one. I’ve been using mine since 2015 and it’s still going strong. I play almost 200 rounds a year and I’ve used this every single round. Next to my score card holder, this is the best thing I’ve ever bought for golf.

I have a Tanto and love it.  Makes super quick work of pitch marks.  Chiseled ends work great for cleaning grooves as well.

I use the Pitchfix three prong tool. The prongs are designed to grab the roots without causing damage, so one simply sticks it in, and lifts straight up one to three times. Easy peasy.

It has a built in pencil sharpener, which is a big bonus.

The only downside is that it's prone to clogging with dirt. The spring loaded opening mechanism can jam.

This was my favorite tool except for the spring jamming like you mentioned, so I stopped using it...

I recommend against the birdicorn tool. It is too short to use effectively. It does well as a club holder to keep your grips dry.

I agree.  I ordered a birdicorn tool earlier this year.  I was pretty underwhelmed.   It certainly isn't worth the quasi-premium pricing.  It kinda does everything "just OK", and it is certainly not good at anything it's advertised to do.

I got a Pitchfix (2 prong, not the fancy 3 prong one) in a Short Par 4 box earlier in the year and really liked it, other than how easily it jammed.  One night on the couch after a few beers and a FB "sale" advertisement, I got a Tanto.  And while it is a bit pricey; the mechanism is legit and it does not jam.  Honestly thought, other than the bling factor, it's no more effective than any other 2 prong pitch fixer.

+1 one for this 4 prong divot tool.  I really like mine and been using it for a few years now.

The WRX divot tool with the high powered magnet on it. I love it so much I bought a backup!

Main benefit to me is size (very slim) and it’s ability to hold two smaller coin sized ball markers. You can just toss the marker in your pocket when you set you ball down and the tools magnet will grab the marker every time.

I like having two markers because I play with many idiots that insist on using thick poker chips or other dumb oversized markers... I occasionally remark for them if they are on my line or near it. Very annoying, but I’m prepared.
