Personally, I’m liking Morgan at the U.S. open. She comes across as still perky, knowledgeable, and honest. I do get the feeling the the network is trying to create Dotty Pepper II.

As far as her voice, I think that she comes across much better if you have separate audio vs what your TV speakers put out.

She over hypes, and attempts to defend the players a bit too much. Trying to defend really bad putting by Lexi and then saying that she needs more experience in US Opens, her 15th consecutive US Open and one of the 3 longest US Open streaks.

Who are you referring to?  Paige or Morgan?

I think she's doing fine.

I do think she was an underachieving player, especially with all her potential.

I like her - I even like her voice now I've got used to it. I said a few posts ago that the audio technicians were probably working on her voice, mics, equalisation etc. Maybe also some vocal training. Whatever.... it works.

Paige McKenzie is 100x better.

I like Paige most of the time but she's driving me crazy this week with the giggling.

Morgan continues to get better.  I can believe that she's putting in the work.  She's going to be around for a long time.

I think that when other players who have been in the same situation see that sort of breakdown, it’s like discussing someone with a drug or alcohol problem. You can’t just openly let ‘em have it. It makes the presenter look like a vindictive prima Donna and creates animosity between the players and announcers.

And lets not forget that she is an assistant captain at next year's Solheim Cup.

Terry Gannon and Morgan Pressel is 1 million times better than Poor Man’s Nantz and his sidekick Zinger.

Morgan needs to relax a bit.  Her delivery just seems to lack a little personality.

I think Morgan really came into her own at this USOpen.  The flow between her, Terry Gannon and the on course commentators seemed quite smooth, and Morgan added a lot of pertinent information at appropriate moments from all her pre tournament research.  She seems very well connected to gather info from players, caddies, instructors, etc.  While I loved Judy Rankin, I do think Morgan’s very recent career on tour is a big plus.  (And she seems to know when to stop talking!)

And when would that be?

My problem with Morgan is that she’s not as knowledgeable about the technical aspects of modern golf and regularly says things that are just wrong. Judy did a much better job even though she learned golf in a different era.

Some interesting comments; re technical aspects, what does she get wrong, I haven't noticed anything but I may not have your depth of knowledge.

One area that she does have an advantage is a playing connection to the current players. She made an interesting comment about having played quite a bit with Leona and whilst some of that may be in LPGA events, more likely it will be social and practice rounds in Florida and elsewhere over a number of years as her sister Madison is good friends with the Maguire twins.

Judy is a doyen and Morgan is not that (yet, if ever) but I am enjoying Morgan's player insights amongst other things.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
