Under Armour Golf Shoes

Recommended Posts

Just asking for anybody who's used under armor golf shoes if you can give me your opinion on them. I'm looking for a new pair of shoes and right now I do like the Nike vapor tour too however I would like to try under armor but no golf Galaxy around me carries them. Just looking at your opinions how comfortable they are and durable etc thank you in advance

I played the Spieth 4 last year and the Spieth 2 before that. The Spieth 4's were comfortable, super supportive and in my opinion one of the best looking golf shoes. My only real issue was the tongue would move on the left shoe when I was playing, it never bothered me but I would look down and notice it had shifted down the side of the shoe and I would have to pull it out. I typically walk and never had any foot pain with them. I wore them out but I typically go through a pair a year.

I couldn't find any Spieth 4s in my size and the Spieth 5 is a very different shoe than the previous 4 iterations (Jordan doesn't play the retail version of the Spieth 5, he plays the 5 uppers on the 4 bottoms). It kind of seems like Under Armour has really pushed all their golf shoes towards spike less, for me that's a no go. I switched to Footjoy since then, the tour x and the hyperflex are super solid shoes, the hyperflex is actually the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn.

Its all Titleist

I've only played one round in my Spieth 5's but they were excellent.  I usually walk and the HOVR cushioning is awesome.  I've been skeptical of spikeless having previously used the adidas Tour 360 series, but I truthfully didn't feel any less grip.  This is my first pair of UA golf shoes and I've been impressed.

For me, the shoes need to be redone from top to bottom. I have thried the Spieth 4 and it was so uncomfortable on my foot.  I loved the look of them but i had to ditch them after a few rounds. The more i used them the worse they became.

I now use the Adidas ZG21 and I am much happier. Stable, light and comfortable

here is the USA edition.

I haven't tried any version of the Spieth line.  However, I've tried several others and they all fell apart on me.  This last go around was the HOVR SL in two colors and both started falling apart in the soles within 3 months.  I ended up getting credit and buying clothes with the funds.

To be fair, the Spieth line does look like the sole would be more durable with the added rubber molding throughout.

I got a pair of basic spikeless UA shoes last spring and they’re my go to wet grass walking shoes. They’re really comfortable and keep my feet dry. I think their shoes are nice looking but it kind of sucks you can’t find many of the shoes at any store to try on. Also wish they had a more staff following and created more buzz. I think they make nice shoes but something about them isn’t real sexy. I don’t know hard to explain it.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
