pin-hole "crack" in driver face --question

Wouldn't it bubble a tiny bit if the hole went through? I ran it under a tap and then when i stopped the water just cleared off the face quickly. I would've thought you'd see some tiny erratic things going on there if there was a hole in the face. Like small amount of bubbling

I took a pin, it doesn't seem to be through the head. Also the hole itself is smaller than the width of a pin. Only the tip of the pin could fit, however it seems to get blocked. So thats good

 

As mentioned, gonna use it and see

Well i played like garbage and dropped from 3rd to 9th ---But it wasn't the drivers fault. I actually hit a 300yd drive on the 17th hole.

 

I think i'm gonna use my Cobra tomorrow though. Been practicing with it...Time to transition

Mine ha the same material defect and i got 2 holes  i emailed callaway last year and they said i am out of 12 month warranty (preowned). 😞 i thought they would replace this since this is a production defect and not the typical wear and tear.

 

 

it hasn't affected my play for close to a year now and have not seen the holes grow bigger. i guess it's still ok? we'll see.

My Max never cracked more either. I still have it as well as a regular Mavrik.

Similar experience. I bought a brand new, sealed epic max head on eBay from quickshipgolf (regret highly). Hit around 20 shots and noticed 2 small pinholes. Contacted Callaway, they could not help even though the driver was brand new since it was bought from eBay. I even had the customer service rep look up my serial number and ensure it was an authentic product. I knew it was since I saw somewhere that quickshipgolf gets his clubs from PGA SS in myrtle beach. Anyways the bottom line was that it doesn't matter what you buy nor the condition of the Callaway product on eBay, it simply does not have a warranty. I asked if this policy was changed and the rep said no. He offered to sell me the new Rogue St Max at $315, but I just dropped $200 on a brand new epic Head so I guess I'll keep rocking my epic max until I notice anything wrong with it. Kudos to Callaway for trying and I understand their position but I've seen others get warranty assistance on used products on eBay...
