I love coupons! What does your schedule look like next week?

You might telling yourself, "man, ferg seems to have his feet flat on the ground most of the time."

In general you'd be correct, but sometimes we all need "a little help."

I am headed down to see Liz to go over some "personal issues" on Tuesday the 22nd.  I'll apply the coupon and meet an extra hour to go over your "general issues."   When I get back, we can meet over a complicated coffee drink and talk it through.

Great! I love complicated coffee drinks almost as much as coupons.

Does the counselor charge time and a half if it takes more than an hour for my general issues?

Yes, but no worries.  They have a credit system that helps patients accumulate free counseling minutes when you show improvement.

I have 186 minutes of credit banked for future use.

This is where I will be sitting for "our" sessions.

Liz sits in the brown chair.  She keeps a blanket in case it get cold in there.

My mom and dad will be near the window.

I was at the Barbasol today and when his score was posted the group I was walking with (Ricky Barnes, Robert Garrigus, and Ken Duke) had a small buzz about how embarrassing that score that was.  Evidently he took a 10 on the 18th hole, so I guess he hit it into the water that lines the right side of the hole multiple times?

Gotta love how the PGA TOUR's website tried to put a positive spin on it:  "Smylie putts well but delivers a 15-over 87 first round in the Barbasol Championship"

He does hold past champion status on the PGA Tour. Priority category 35.

35. Beyond 150 on the previous season's FedExCup Points List. If not otherwise eligible and as needed to fill the field, Past Champion members, Team Tournament Winners, and Veteran members beyond 150th place on the previous season's FedExCup points list in order of their combined official PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour (through Korn Ferry Tour Championship) money in the previous season

To me, it doesn't matter if it was a win or just had some good success and fell down the rankings. Still the same thing.  Lots and lots of pro golfers fall into that category. Also, lots of them have legitimate reasons like injuries and or other life events.

A lot of younger pros go to the PGA and have immediate success and then fall down. Highly likely it is mental. Probably, the people around them got into their heads, the super tough competitive environment got into their heads, they got into their own heads, or combo of all it.

Man 87 is a tough tough one - 9 worse than the next worst and 11 worse than John Daly. Poor Smylie! Got to wonder if the stress and turmoil are worth it now.

Especially on the course that the Barbasol is on, which isn't all that challenging for these guys.  Just a pitch and putt.

Its crazy to think that Kaufman was in the final pairing on Sunday, and 1 back to start the day, with Jordan Spieth back in 2016 when Spieth rinsed it twice on 12 and gifted the Green Jacket to Danny Willett.  Kaufman fired an 81 that day.

Who gifted the 12th ranked player in the world, Danny Willett, at the time a bogey free 5 under 67 in the final round to win the 2016 Masters? He began the final round 3 shots off the lead. It's not like he came back from 12 shots.

Fact is no matter how many times people go to weird extreme lengths to criticize and minimize Willett for having the absolute nerve to shoot the lowest 72 hole score in 2016 and beat the alleged bullet proof wonder boy at the time he did. 5+ years later people need to drop it and get over it. Jordan did play all 72 holes correct? All the shots count. Right? Whether on the first hole or the 66th hole of an event?

Does his wife have a good job, because it has to be costing him a few bucks to play in tournaments. I can't imagine he has any endorsements, at this point.

He made $2.5 million in one season 5 years ago and has made almost $4 million since turning pro in the last 6-7 years. I’m sure he’s doing alright.

Never ceases to amaze me how GWRX'ers love to kick people when they are down.

Understand, it says more about you than the person you are kicking.

Just saying.....

Now Smylie is an on course commentator for ESPN/Golf Channel. Made his debut at the PGA Championship and also is commentating for US Open. Pro golf is not easy.

I find him to be damn good behind the mic be it on air or on the course.

Kaufman was the on course commentator at the USGA US Junior Championship.

He got a lot of help from Notah during the coverage.  NB3 was definitely asking SK leading questions to get him to expound a bit more than he originally was. Overall, I thought he did a pretty good job after that.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.
