Ventus is the hottest thing going.  The velocore version is the aftermarket expensive one. The non-velocore isn't "bad" per se, but it's not the same profile as the velocore one and doesn't use as fan

The non velocore shaft is junk. It’s not worthy of the Ventus name and I feel bad for Fujikura having to take the contract from taylormade to make them and ruin the ventus name.

Interesting — I have a 105 swing speed, decently quick tempo, launch around 14...this the right shaft for me?   So far it’s giving me a bit lower ball flight and dispersion pretty good when I actually put a good strike on it.  For context I’m coming from a G400 Max with Alta CB 55 shaft.

As an 8 handicap am I really gonna notice a difference?   How does the non velocore stack up to the Mitsubishi Tensei CK 60 Orange?  (I have an extra one laying around)

as for the tensei CK orange - if it’s the PRO model with an MR70 tip it would be a superior shaft to a non-velocore ventus. If it’s not the pro model then the same above applies to it. It’s a made for shaft without all mitsubishis fancy materials.

Makes sense.  Thx brother.  I’m going back and forth on a SIM Max with the ventus and a Ping G410 Plus with the Tensei Orange CK 60.  Need a fairway finder off the tee !

Ck orange non-pro vs ventus non-velocore is, in reality, probably not that different. They're the "mid" profile off the rack options, the main difference will be the balance point, likely higher on the CK orange.

The entire Ventus line kicks a**.  I hate to say it, but the non-velocore version sucks a**.  I don't say that very often about golf equipment so for me to say that is really bad.  Do yourself a favor and get the one with velocore.  I dare say it's a game changer.  It certainly feels different to me, dispersion has improved quite a bit and when I hit my SIM 2 on the screws, the ball just carries for days.  It's not overly important, but a lot of guys on tour are playing the Ventus line for good reason.
