Great for him and the game after the fiasco he went thru 2 weeks ago. He's an immensely talented player and probably will be the most dominant of his generation. Has all the tools now both physically and mentally. bien hecho!

Rory was being Rory missing short putts that didn't even catch the lip. Louie I'm beginning to think is not the clutch player were lead to believe he is. Bryson just bound to have those blow up holes given the way he plays, can't fault him it's gotten him one major already. Wolf? I dunno maybe that swing needs some work. He seems to lack the ability to play certain shots with it. Koepka is fine, that's his game, will continue to be a factor at majors. 

 

Rahm is however simply the most talented player of his generation. Will be the first of many majors for him.

Louis threw away THREE tournaments this year with a big miss with the big stick under pressure, the Zurich team title, the PGA, and now the Open...we all love his tempo and he seems to be a genuine nice guy, but Im starting to see why he hasn't won since the Open

Even the announcers when his lead was 1 were talking like it was 3, and only something truly unexpected would get in his way.

Let’s face it.  Oosty won at one of the easiest open courses when the weather is benign.  You can spray it right pretty much all you want at the old course.  Half of golfwrx could have won that major.

You might be surprised.  Some of these temporary security people hired for an event do not have the first clue about golf unless there are windmills and clowns mouth.

Not counting on it to happen, but it would be nice if DeShambles dreams of dialing back this ridiculousness and work on hitting fairways.  It's all nice he can over power your typical tour event from time to time, but grow the rough like this week and you are cooked...as it should be.

 

Winning a golf tournament requires a bit of luck; especially a major.  But off the charts luck like Winged Foot is a bad look for golf.  Glad to see the thick grass at Torrey gave the proper f'g.

Louis Oosthuizen has one of the weirdest careers in the history of golf.

This course was a severe yet equitable test. So many key drives and approach shots with the wind over the left shoulder for a right handed player. Subtle sneaky quick greens and well place bunkers. No wonder the leader board was filled with a number of top players plus a few lesser guys having a great week. That back nine forces you to hit one quality shot after another.

happy for Rahm. Most people figured it was just a matter of time but everyone thought Phil would win one of these too…
