Phil warming up with a Power Hitter driver and DST Compressor iron.  Never seen that one before, so I had to google "practice club with curved shaft" to find out what it is.  Interesting

It's not about the course but the experiences and event itself.  The playing field is level.  If the players hate the course, stop whining!  Fans don't matter.

Adam Scott: "I was the third wheel hanging off the back! Every time I come back (to Torrey Pines) I’m reminded of it. It’s a strong, strong memory. The atmosphere for the whole 36 holes I played with Phil and Tiger was incredible, but Thursday morning the energy around the first hole was like… I can’t compare it to anything else. "  THAT is what matters.

Ya, I get many are golf course aficionados.

But I generally think most are great if not perfectly adequate as a backdrop for the most important thing…the action!

Most love Augusta but many complained how boring this years Masters was.

In 2008 certain images are still vivid. TW poised to hit into the green on those par 5s on Saturday. The silence as the ball sailed, the roar when the found the green. The earthquake when he made the eagle puts. His goofy smile when he holed out green side.

I have vague if zero recollection of the setup or configuration of the holes. But definitely remember these images…

Was pleased to find the USGA app available from the app store for my TV so have that available if needed.

Yep. It actually was on my TV too for once.  Looks like 10.25 start time for features groups.

We aren't even leaving the boat for another hour.  We want to actually see some ball flights on the par 3's.  Gotta love the ocean courses on the left hand coast....

Bah, such weak gatekeeping logic. So if you haven't held office, you can't comment on politics? If you haven't been a greenskeeper you can comment on course conditions or pin locations. If you haven't designed and manufactured clubs you can't comment on the performance?

I've done all the things in that tweet, so can I comment safely? Please tell me wise gatekeeper.

Well according to Jim's Twitter account he is a world class shuffle board player...  So you cannot comment on that...🤣

I for one am blaming the course designers for this fog delay. Could they not have thought about that?!

Wonder why there is not many articles on golfwrx about the US Open. No practice round pictures and news about different things going on there. Usually every major has quite a few pre-tournament articles.

With the condensed schedule and the big Phil story only 4 weeks ago, there is not build up for the US Open.

Moving the PGA to May was a major mistake/sell out.
