What’s your favorite glove?

Recommended Posts

What glove do you prefer and do you think it makes much of a difference?  For me, fit is the most important thing.  I usually get rid of them because they start to fit loose before I wear out the palms (I start with as tight a fit as I can stand and that helps them last a little longer).  I’ve generally gone cheap and just got the weather sof  gloves, as I feel better about retiring them early when they start to fit a little loose.  I wish they were thinner but I like the durability.  Yesterday the pro shop had a sale on titleist perma soft gloves and they seem soft and good.  I don’t expect durability to be great.
is there a DTC glove that measures up with the titleist players glove or other higher end offerings?  It is difficult for me to stomach paying over $20 for a glove, but I do like the feel of the thinner, minimal gloves.
anyways, anyone have any suggestions for reasonably priced gloves that hold their shape well?

In black... $7 each... they last forever.  They feel great.  They slip on and off very easily due to the synthetic material on the back.  For me they're just perfect.

The MG gloves are the way to go.. can't beat them for price or durability.. Do them a favor though and order straight from them instead of going through Amazon..

I like the TaylorMade TP Flex glove, usually buy a bunch when they're on sale or the rare BOGO.

MG Dynagrip Elite. Been using them for years. Just as good as anything from FJ, Titleist, etc. and 1/4th of the price.

Like @Chadwickog said though order directly from MG and not off Amazon for several reasons. 1) They are cheaper directly from the manufacturer. 2) They only charge $5 for shipping so if you order more than 1 you've already recouped the shipping cost vs ordering from Amazon. 3) Every time I've ordered direct from MG I've they've been delivered within 5-7 days with standard ground shipping. 4) Amazon won't be taking a cut (which is probably why they cost more on Amazon).

At this moment MG is sold out at their web site while Amazon has them and there is no shipping charge to order them from Amazon.

I usually go to Bionic for stability and durability.  For feel?  Mizuno makes an outstanding glove.

Its funny how a change in location can change perception of a glove.  I tried the Dynagrip Elite when we still lived in SoCal and didn't like it.  It's thin leather tended to tear faster than more premium brands in the lower humidity climate so I tended towards Titleist Perma Softs, or Wilson Conforms.  But since the move to the greater Houston area I've been using them exclusively.  In the higher humidity they tend to become unusable due to saturation before they tear and in that regard they are the same as higher priced gloves.

Mizuno Elite is 2 for $25 and they are pretty good

Sometimes GOLF Direct Now has the PING Sport tech 3 for $25 and they are really good

if you want to spend the money get the PING tour glove.  I splurged on 2 of them and were very pleased with the glove

I usually just buy the Mizuno, PGA Store seems to always be running some type of sale on them. I lucked into one some months ago and bought like 8 gloves. I don't go through gloves very fast so I'll have these for a while. I do want to try out the Palm and North Coast gloves just because they're different and I never see anyone wearing them.

I've also had the same pair of FJ rain gloves tucked into a pocket of my bag since 2017. They've yet to be used once.

Fit is the number one characteristic and price is right behind I hate spending a ton on gloves because I like to use multiple during a round (I live in the south and I sweat through gloves).

Over the last year, I've used the Maxfli Tour glove from Dick's. $12.99 each or two for $22 is a pretty good deal. They were two for $18 for a while so stocked up. Not quite as cheap as the Costco gloves but I didn't love the way those fit. The Maxfli fit me well and are relatively durable.

I know some scoff at them, but the Finger Ten are awesome. They are cloth backed and hold up to wet and sweat. They were $6 each, I ended up getting 6. I have been using the same one for almost 3 months and about 30 rounds of 9 and it looks near perfect still.

I was using Nike before and after about 2 dozen rounds they were hashed.

I got them from Wish, but Amazon has them, too

I used to use them exclusively as well.  My hands sweat and I really like how they perform.  Agreed that I wish they sold them as a single.

My hands sweat so much I was carrying powder in my bag to keep my hands dry

I just ordered a pair of the rain gloves from Foot Joy to help out

I was going to wear both of them because I sweat so much

Second the Finger Ten gloves. Great stuff, especially in the heat and humidity in Myrtle. Durable as hell. I've still got some from the first 6-pack I bought 4 years ago. Slightly worn, but completely usable. If your hands sweat, they're absolutely fantastic, and far more durable than any glove I've ever had.

I have gotten some real garbage from Wish and I had low expectations. I was seriously blown away at how nice these are.

MG Elite without question. Best combo of price and quality. Delivered right to your door.

Don't order them from Amazon. You get them cheaper direct from MG and Bezos doesn't need any additional cash. I think he's set for a while.

Just make sure you uncheck all of the promotional boxes when you order - or you will quickly be buried in issues of Golf Digest.
