Toulon 2022?

Haven’t they came down in prize? In the uk I think the previous model was £430 when released, 2022 models are £380.

 

I agree it’s kind of like putting an Audi badge on a Lamborghini but Odyssey is a respected name in putting, would like them to say Toulon on the back though, would make them seem a bit more special. 

Having said that most people won’t care about your putter and those that do will probably know it’s a Toulon

I don’t care what “most people” think about my putter, but I do care about how my putter looks.  My current one has a nice looking Toulon logo in the cavity, I will not be updating it for a new one with the giant Odyssey logo across the back, particularly at a $450 price point (double what my original Toulon cost).   Like Odyssey, Volkswagen makes a fine product, but I would not want a giant VW logo engraved all the way across the back end of a Porsche I just payed 150 grand for.

I hate to be that guy who keeps asking, but any more info on the Garage as a custome program?  I think putters release this friday and last I got an answer from someone here, they said garage was still going to be around and would have more info closer to release.  Optimistic I can custome build a head and neck combo like original garage, these are seriously nice feeling putters I am a convert for sure.

@drscott266Johnny Wunder from Callaway did an AMA on reddit a few days ago and I asked him the same question. His response was that new garage parts will be released bit by bit.  Sounds like they may only be doing Small Batch releases.

I rolled the Madison, the Atlanta, and the Las Vegas today at a Callaway Product Launch event. I can understand the concerns about the Odyssey logo, but these putters look really good in person. The milling provides a very nice feel, fairly soft (not White Hot soft obviously) and put a good roll on the ball. The stroke lab shaft in green is much more subtle in person than in pictures, it could almost pass for black in the overcast skies today. 

 

I'm not a big fan of lines on putters so I'll probably wait for a garage version.

This size Atlanta looks like the same size as the older Seattle. The face length of the prior release was Seattle>Las Vegas>Atlanta.

In previous gen’s it has been a garage, and has a garage stamp on sole. Having owned one there seemed to be no difference other than finish or hosel that might not have been retail.

When will these land in stores? I believe today is release day, but I can’t tell if it’s preorders, online only, or sitting in the rack at stores. I do know there’s been zero advertising at my local PGASS and if it wasn’t for this site I wouldn’t even know a new release was coming.

I’m really interested to see the Daytona and new LV neck.  Played a LV a couple

of seasons ago and loved it!  Big fan of Toulon milling and shapes.

Garage for Vegas as the old H7, otherwise it’s retail necks. Pretty bummed, hoped for the plumbers neck.

The Garage seems to be working now. Unless it's not pricing correctly, it looks like you can now choose your alignment line and paint fill at no extra cost. [edit: AND you can choose your finish! Black or silver]

 

Also you have a choice of Stroke Lab shaft color, which is cool. I think Odyssey was listening to our feedback. In other words, every putter now starts at $600 and the customization is part of that price, not an added on price. I much prefer that to paying an extra $50-$100 for every little custom option you want.

 

I hope I don't eventually talk myself into a plumber's neck Chicago with a top line.

I just ordered a custom Daytona Beach, a 2-3 week turnaround would be amazing.  Also, I selected next day air and it was credited free.

I called a few local PGASS and was told they will only be available in select stores. Also, they don’t know when, what, or how many will be available. If anyone has more clarity please share.

Know a guy, who knows a guy at Callaway who told me about the weight system last Summer. Really excited for it as I think it might help me on my off center misses? Not an expert.

 

But I can't look at anything but a plumbers neck. And the Seattle has been the best thing since sliced bread for my putting. I've gone through a lot and the Seattle was instant success, and continued. And of course they discontinued it. The Atlanta looks ok but doesn't come in plumbers neck. In fact, none of the mallets offer the H1 neck even in garage.

 

Wondering how the San Diego is with the new weight system.

The price is insane but the finish on the Austin without paint fill is a lot nicer than I expected.
