Tour Edge C721 driver review

I bought the 721 driver on a whim. I ordered the Ventus Red Stiff shaft for my 99 mph swing. I must say Ive been impressed with the driver. Its not the longest but it is relatively forgiving and pretty straight. The other day I hit 10 out of 14 fairways which is pretty good for me. 

 

On distance I would rate it a 7 out of 10. I hit a couple of bombs but the M2 2016 is still longer. Id say 1 out of every 10 are bombs and the rest have a nice penetrating flight. 

 

On forgiveness I would rate it a 8 out of 10. I hit a couple low on the face that had no business going as far as they did. My miss is a heel cut to the right and those get out there pretty far.

 

On dispersion I would rate this a 9 out of10. Im hitting more fairways than Im used to. The Ventus Red is a nice complement to the head. Even when I do miss I am not penalized that bad.

 

Overall I am very pleased with this driver. If you are looking for something that goes far and straight then I say give this a shot.

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about picking one. What loft did you get and how does launch compare to other drivers that you've played recently?

I recently cut this driver down to 44.5 inches and its a fairway finder. I am finding more fairways than I can ever remember. I got the 9.5 degree driver and I am hitting lasers. Really happy with this purchase.

I ordered mine at 44.5 with an RDX Blue 70 x stiff. It'll see it's first action this week. Can't wait. I had the EXS220 last year and if this is even remotely better it'll be a winner.

Well, I have two rounds in with it and have mixed feelings about it. The head seems very forgiving. Sound and feel are great. I think I misfired of the shaft. Went with the RDX Blue shaft and I don't think it suits me. Probably should have gone with the RDX black in hindsight. It just feels like the clubhead is playing catch up with the Blue.  Contemplating sending it back. Will probably give it one more round.

I had a similar experience with the blue. When it was on I hit it well.  But my timing kept getting worse and worse.  I finally sent it back as where I bought it had a 60 day trial.

Got fit for one.  Never heard of Tour Edge before that day.  Haven't looked back.

I tried this driver and hit it 6 times on the course.  I was using the wrong flex shaft as I just picked it up that day but it was an extra stiff rdx but still found it long and relatively straight. on two drives though I overswung and pulled it left into the hazard.  As soon as I get my extra adapter I will try it with my regular flex diamana limited shaft.  It is as long as my radspeed and I think with the right flex it will be a bomber.

Local shop finally got a few in stock. In hand, that crown looks better than the pics led me to believe. I plan on going back to hit the demo when there’s free time and a free bay.

Powerful driver. Very lively and long. I didn’t care for the RDX shaft but the head is excellent.
