2021 Meijer LPGA Classic (Jun 17 - 20)

Oh, and thankfully Karen is a golf analyst, and not a math teacher. Leona's putt was a 330 at most. 360 would be a stretch. Not 400. Sheesh. Lol.

Ariya and Moriya with matching T10s. They're loving sisters, but the race for the 2nd Thai Olympic spot is going down to the wire, and will leave one of them heartbroken.

After careful deliberation I'm going with the American Princess this week.  Whatever has been troubling Nelly is going to be behind her and this course is made for her game.  Jennifer Kupcho is my second pick, she's too good not to break through and win soon.  If she had more experience at Blythefield I think I'd pick her outright.

Thank you Nelly for validating my pick and nice week J Kups even if you didn't get win number one.

Another aggravating TV broadcast, where the only shots we saw from In Gee were her putts on 18.  Just ridiculous.  Great event for her though and great to see that.

Leona played great, can't say anything negative about her week.  Just needed a couple more birdies.

Was shocked to see the tee across the river on 13.  I've never noted them playing from back there before, the hole can play 190 or so without going across iirc.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Anna Nordqvist contend next week.  Her game has been trending up and translates well to tougher courses

I see that Anna no longer plays PXG gear. She is no longer listed on the PXG website. Is her uptick in play possible due to an equipment change?

It was great to see a long par 3.  How about some long par 4's and 5's, as well

I asked her coach on Friday if she had considered switching to a mallot style putter. She's played a Ping blade for her whole career. He said that she had experimented with a mallot, but preferred the blade.

Fast forward to the 18th hole today and what is she putting with? A Ping Tyne style putter. Only 26 putts today on 16 GIRs. Coincidence? Lol. Hope to see her at the top of the leaderboard next week.

Huh?

Was Dumbo playing an Anser style putter on Thurs-Sat when you were there watching her?

I know In Gee has been using a blade style putter for a long time....but it seems In Gee has been playing a mallet style putter for a while....I looked at videos of the KIA and ANA...she was playing a mallet style putter.

I assume you have demo's the Ping 410 & 425 heads...I assume the difference in ball speed and forgiveness is not enough to upgrade from the 400?

There are still pros playing the 400 including Louis O (USO).

I demoed the 410, but not the 425, I don't need to be temped to drop $800 on a driver that will give incremental improvement.

I'll wait until the prices come down, but as of now my G400 Max is doing a great job.

I'm still on aeroburners!

It's the perfect club for Ontarians - you get to play max 3-5 mos in a year only anyway... And for someone who grew up in the tropics, it's 3mos only lol. Anything below 20C/68F, I'm glued to GC lol. But above 35C (90F), what heat alert nonsense is this? Let's go run half marathon! 😛

Some great low scoring but that must have been the same set up as the Wednesday over 75s competition. Did anyone drop a shot in the last round?

Yes the winner had 3 bogies on Sunday. Other players had bogies as well. If only the LPGA had a website with round by round scoring that shows this information.

Round by round scoring is available for each player, but not for the entire field in one view. Click on the players name on the leaderboard, and then click on the 'Display Full Scorecard' link.

Also, on the players' 'Profile' page, the 'Results' tab shows scores for all rounds for the season.

Lol. I'll play in anything from 38F to 110F, depending on the wind and precipitation. I love fall golf when it's 45 degrees and sunny with light winds.

I still have my Aeroburner mini driver in my bag. It's the oldest club I play. It does what I need it to do, hit low stingers 235 yds out, so there's really no point in replacing it. I tried the new TaylorMade Original One two summers ago. I ditched it after one round, as it was a monster hook machine.

Tons of PGA & LPGA pros gamed the Aeroburner drivers. I always thought the R15 was a dead head....though I'm using the made for R15 Speeder Evo (my friend gave me) in my M3.

I'm still gaming a $65 used TM RBZ Stage 2 3HL FW.....others have tried to knock it out....w/o success.....I'm too cheap to get a used Ping FW.

I also loved my $95 used Jetspeed....used it for 3 years and sold it for $65 (pre-Covid).....I see it as I rented it for $1/mth.....nowadays I could have sold it for $100+.

I demo's the Original One on a sim in Feb/2020....with the stock Diamana Black stiff and quite liked it off a short tee.

Doesn't matter if the LPGA website doesn't show the entire field in one view. Neither does the PGA Tour website. TBH Argonne you answered a question that wasn't asked.

The simple fact that somebody asked if any player made a bogey in the final round of the event makes me wonder how much people here actually watch or pay attention to golf.

There were 72 players in the field on Sunday. To determine if any player made a bogie, one must look at each scorecard. That requires clicking on the player's name on the leaderboard to display the scorecard. The website will only display 5 scorecards at once, so one must click a second time to collapse a scorecard before opening another.

Who's going to click 144 times to see if there were no bogies?

Or you could scroll down the final leaderboard looking for a score higher than 72 in the 4th round.

If every player shot 72 or better, it's no guarantee there wasn't a bogie.

Okay, I actually watch and pay attention to golf. Especially the LPGA.

And I'm confused as to what this discussion is really about. Can someone help me out?

Performance stats at your fingertips in a cross referenced database with search and filter features.  Makes it easy, for example, to quickly determine if anyone in the field had a bogey in the final round.
