Shoe Recommendations- Lower Heel Golf Spikes

Hi all-

 

I am looking for a new shoe as I've been struggling to find a pair of spikes that suit me. Everything ends up blistering me or is just uncomfortable from the get go. 

 

I prefer spiked shoes for a little more traction and that seems to be where the problem lies. I walk most of my rounds, and haven't found many great options for a spiked shoe with a lower heel. I have a tendency to get onto my toes anyway in the swing, and the tall heel of my tour boosts don't help. 

 

Ideally I'd like something that sits more similar to a Vans type shoe. Requirements are

1. Comfortable for walking 36

2. Lower Heel

3. Spiked Shoe

4. Look halfway decent

5. Wider than Nike but nothing special needed there

 

I've looked at the FJ Traditions and the FJ Contour from last year but have never worn FJ and wanted to get some feedback first.

I have a similar issue and wear Footjoys. The TourX have been perfect fit for me and no fitment issues with the heel coming to high up my Achilles. Conversely the previous years Tour S, shoes I had to actually bend down the heel as it was fairly stiff.

Ecco's would have been perfect for you, but I don't believe they have any new shows with Spikes.

Ecco still makes spiked shoes of quite a few varieties.  Here are the G3 (several colors available)

 

 

I have these.  Model is called Strike.  Very happy with them.

 

 

Very much a fan of ecco specifically because of the lower heel drop.  They have some more models.

the puma shoes like this but are a few years old but are very low heeled. I believe they are call the ignite series.
