Sim vs Sim Max - 3 wood

Looking for some input between these two 3 woods.

Leaning towards the Sim as of now, for a bit higher launch. 

Anyone have any thoughts?

I hit the sim2 but it launched to low but then i hit the HL 16.5..

Easy to hit high and somewhat long

Awesome thanks!  I think I will go with the SIM rocket, so definitely want that extra little bit of launch.

Imho, the SIM/SIM2 Max launch higher than the adjustable face versions. If you’re looking for height off the turf, I’d go Max with a shaft that pairs well with it. I mainly hit mine off the tee but it launched higher than the SIM2 I hit off the deck when testing.

MAX version spin more and maybe launch a touch higher.  It's suited more for golfers who have trouble getting enough hang time and spin off the deck.  Off the tee, the SIM and SIM MAX work equally as well IMO.

Honestly both are great.  I gamed both of the OG SIM and OG SIM MAX.  Max was bigger and easier to launch.  Very good all around fairway wood.   I switched to the SIM to get the adjustable hosel to open the face.  
 

SIM2 is easier to launch than OG SIM.  The weight is farther back to help launch.  IMO it’s just about perfect.

the og sim ti is a beast. reaching par fives in two.

I found the feel of the OG sim to be lacking. felt hollow and dead to me.

I prefer the standard SIM. Adjustability is really important to me so I can make sure to be able to properly gap with the top of my bag as it rotates between driving irons, 5 woods, hybrids, and other iron sets.

Feel is subjective for sure.  OG SIM is more like a twack.  Think aluminum baseball bat hitting a baseball.  What's confusing that that your sig show that the SIM 2 is your gamer and yet you haven't hit the SIM 2 yet?

I just finished a round with my "new" SIM Ti 3 Wood, have previously gamed a SIM Max for 9 Months.

Same Shaft (Kiyoshi Black 75X) and I carry 3 Wood 250-265 Yards.

I found the the good hits on the TI to be much better and lower spinning than the Max, with the Max being more forgiving, especially on off center hits. 

Overall if you are ok with the difference in forgiveness, I would go with model which will deliver the right launch window for you

I like the SIM2 Ti face 15 degree lofted to 16 degrees. Nice shallow profile for ease off the deck vs the SIM2 MAX.

Sim Max 15* and SIM Ti 5w @ 18.25* currently.

 

Tried the Sim 2 Max 16.5 and it was too close to the Sim Ti 5w in distance.

Personal testing is your best bet on these two 3 woods, I have the sim ti 3 wood, and bought it for the adjustability and the titanium face. Its a bonus for certain course set ups that I play.
