I think this is a pretty solid sign. At least he can move on his own and is bearing some weight on his right leg. I don't know if this means he'll play again, but I truly believe that once he can walk without crutches he'll give it one more go!

I wouldn't say he looks like he's in "significant" pain, as the article states.  He's obviously uncomfortable but I'd say its a positive sign since he seems to be putting some weight on his leg.

I personally think he'll either tee it up at the Hero/PNC in 2022 for his first tournament.  I think it's a big step to go from putting weight on your foot to playing/walking Augusta pain free. 2022 Masters is too optimistic.

Not even in the same book if it happens.  Hogan's car was hit by a bus and he threw himself in front of his wife to save her.  Tiger drove his own car off the road at very high speeds under very questionable circumstances.  Tiger has the benefit of modern day medicine that Hogan did not.  Only time will tell if Tiger can come back but it won't be Hogan like IF it even happens IMO.

Yeah but Tiger threw himself over himself to save himself so its kind of the same thing that Hogan did.

Really positive that it was his right leg injured. Left leg shattered like that I couldn't imagine a comeback with all the strain the left leg takes at follow through.

He won’t come back.  Probably hurt his back or his knee again trying to rehab a broken leg.

How much does the fire burn in him to knock off Jack's major's total? I can't see him coming back to just play tournament golf once more if he thinks he won't be physically capable enough to win, particularly majors.

 

There'd have to be a big change in what I judge his mentality to just want to get back just to play with no chance of winning.

Good to see him mobile, to an extent. More than happy to be wrong and as much as I can hardly ever having imagined saying this before now, I kinda hope that golf wise he is finished. This flame might still be there but it was flickering long before the crash. From a fan point of view, I don’t want to see a pale imitation of Tiger Woods, I want to see the real deal. Seve became a tragic figure in his later golfing years, I don’t want Tiger to be the same.

I hope he hangs up the competitive golf for good, and continues to teach and run clinics for kids. Can do a lot for the game through that without breaking his body any worse. Time to focus on Charlie and the bigger things in life.
