Help reading SAM fitting

Recently went through a putter fitting on the SAM Lab. Ended up getting fitted into a Futura 5W but I had some questions about the fitting/results that the fitter didn’t really care to explain.

 

In the results it shows my arc as a strong arc then minimum face rotation so hence the face balanced. I thought it was though if you had a strong arc that you should use a putter with a lot of toe hang.

 

Can anyone help me better understand the data? 
 

bonus points if anyone can answer if I should use the gt tour or gt2.0 super stroke grip based the data.

The strong arc is due to the length of your forward swing skewing the results. Your aim, backswing, and impact look great and are very square, which supports the face balanced mallet recommendation. Based on your results I'd use what ever grip was on the putter. Aim and impact indicate whichever grip it was, it was a good one.

I think the recommendation of using the grip that was on the putter is a good one for the reason mentioned.

 

But if you want to change the grip, I would steer away from anything pistol or tapered where the grip is fatter at the top and skinnier at the bottom.  Those grips are typically good for encouraging rotating the face, which is the opposite of what you want using a face balanced mallet.

 

Good grips for face balanced are the Flatso and the slim.  Whether you go 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0 just depends on preference but the thicker the grip usually the less face rotation.  My personal favorite is the Tour SNSR Square.

Honestly, that's going to be personal choice. 

 

You don't open much during the backswing and you're really close to square at impact. A face balanced putter MAY reduce rotation in the backswing more and may lead to a more closed impact position. Some toe hang MAY increase rotation in the backswing. But there's no guarantee that it would change your impact position positively or negatively. 

 

What I see is a stroke issue...backswing too short and a stroke that is way too long after impact. Your path and impact position are really good. I'd flip that stroke around. Longer back and shorter through.
